Spay Tomorrow :( So as a vet nurse my worries are double edged! On one hand I've seen hundreds and thousands of spays, I've seen spays done on dogs half Molli's size and everything was fine. Her bloodwork already came back fine so I know I dont have to worry about that. Still though, I know more than most all the risks and things that could go wrong. I've never seen them go wrong but I've heard stories. As a teapot yorkie I know her chances are better than other smaller yorkies but I can't help but worry. I am getting her spayed with lasers, they say it's safer and the healing time is quicker and after the spay they use "cold laser therapy" to decrease pain. All that I know but they also keep her over night and it's the fist time since I got her that I will be away from her. I love her so much, as annoying and bratty as she can be I love her and I couldnt take if anything happened to her. I'm trying to trust in the doctors and hope for the best. Anyways thanks for letting me ramble- I am just a nervous mommy, this is my first girl dog. |
AAAAAAWWW Honey a BIG Texas hug!!! Mina was spayed a few weeks back and she was running around the house (literally,Molli style) by 5oclock pm that day. I will keep you both in my prayers. Be sure to post how she is doing. The onesie idea really helped keep her from bothering her stitches. |
You're a good yorkie momma for worrying! It will be over before you know it, and she will be back in your arms. |
We're sending good thoughts and prayers. Molli will be back to ol' self in no time at all. :) It's always nerve wracking when our babys have to go thru anything. |
I say no need to worry, but we have all worried and I say it makes you a great Yorkie Mommy! When I had my last Yorkie fixed, they got her in and out of surgery earlier than they expected due to a cancellation. When the vet called me to say she was done and ready to be picked up - well, I freaked out for a minute because I thought they were calling to say something went wrong! She was fine and dandy and very snuggly when she came home. Your baby will be fine - although maybe you should ask for something - LOL. I will be in your shoes in a few weeks with my little guy Max and then six weeks later with my little Abby. Please be sure to let us know how the procedure goes. My vet does not do the laser surgery, but it sounds so much better and less painful. Best wishes. |
I am sure she will be fine. I don't leave mine overnight. There is no one there and I would rather have them home with me where I can watch them. |
I completely understand!! It was about a year & a half ago that I had Tessie spayed and I was a nervous wreck. We'll definitely be praying for Miss Molli and for you ~ that all will go well and she'll be running around before you know it!! |
I havent been through it but I will understand when I get mine. They will be brother and sister and be spayed/nuetered on the same day. But I can imagine what you may be going through. Keeping you and your baby in my prayers. :goodluck: |
Everything is gonna be fine. Prayers to you both. I know I'll be that way when I get my girl fixed. Keep positive thoughts. |
I understand your worry - Belle was spayed less than 2 weeks ago. I'll keep you and Molli in my thoughts today. :) |
She is going to be fine. It will be hard being without her overnight I am sure. I got to bring my little girl home the same day and I felt so much better having her with me. It's a short time and it will be over before you know it. Gracie felt a little sleepy the first day and she was improved the next day and after that you would not have known she had surgery except for the shaved areas on her body! |
I had 2 girls spayed and they did great. But mommies always worry. Hugs and Prayers to you and Molli. |
Sending prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery for Molli. |
Sending good thoughts and prayers to you and your baby today. Let us know how it went. |
Praying for you and your baby |
