Yorkie hairstyles - Fido's looking for a new hairstyle !
 
I'm looking for a new hairstyle for my Fido !
Any ideas :D ???

I want his facial hair long (be able to have a bow) but it doesnt matter how the rest will look like as long as its easy to maintain and isnt very long :D

What haircut would you all think look good on him ?
I am willing to cut the beard shorter :D and his ears etc. , just having his topknot is a must the rest doesnt matter that much :D

I really think the "Joey" cut is adorable. I think there are a few threads with some pictures of it. Maybe some one will see this and post what the "Joey" looks like. I think it is adorable. Fido would look mighty cute with it. ;)

Oh my gosh, what a sweetheart! He would look great in the Joey cut. Look under Nancy1999...Joey is amazing. I don't know how to find the link or I'd be happy to post it for you, sorry. :rolleyes:

Lulu just got the "Joey" cut. I love it! So cute but much easier to maintain. I like her face/beard longer as well...

Thanks everyone, Joey's breeder started a real trend. Lulu looks adorable! It really shows off her body. I think Yorkies have beautiful bodies. One thing about this cut is that it seems to look good on every dog. Basically the body is shaved, and the leg hair is left long. You can have chest, facial and tail hair short or long to suit whatever you like.

Fido really looks cute in his double topknot!

Fido has had the joey cut before :D

If he had longer leg hair I would definetely have the Joey cut on him ! but the leg hairs are so short I think it will not look good.
I'll shave him myself, I think im gonna first just shave the back and see how it looks like (like modified schnauzer cut), then shave the belly too and the sides, if it doesnt look good then , then I will shave all the feet too.

I'm thinking of leaving him with only long head and tail, would it be cute?
He has got that haircut before and i love it but how do you guys like it? i think it suits him well ! and SO easy to maintain.

I will cut his beard a bit shorter like he's on this pic, he's so cute that way !

All ideas accepted ! but I want to keep the body as short as possible :) its ok to have little long hair somewhere :D

He looks adorable in all the pictures and you really do a great job on his face, but I absolutely love this picture: http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._4519268_n.jpg. I guess when you shave it everywhere, they tend to look more like other breeds, but when you shave the body and leave the legs long, they look really unique to me.

I agree. This picture of him is adorable. I love the cut on him. :):) However, even if you have to take the hair off his legs he will still look very cute!

I'll go propably next week, or late this week and shave him (depends on when I get the clippers loaned).
Im first going to shave the body and leave the feet long, if it doesnt look good I'll shave the feet too :D I think thats a good idea.

If you have some other ideas please share !!

Leave the hair on the tail long, his tail looks beautiful!
