Yorkie killed by coyotes Just horrifying.. cant even imagine if that happened to lulu. We Recently stopped going to the local regional park, because last week baby mountain lions were spotted in the area where we walk. Just a reminder to always watch your surroundings, all it takes is a second. Dog killed, owner injured in coyote attack in O.C. - latimes.com |

Now I think I will always walk "Razzle my Yorkie with one of our BRT |
Omg that is so sad. :( And scary. Another reason I love my Great Pyrenees. Nothing gets in this yard without him pouncing them. I feel so bad for this lady and yorkie. |
I heard this on the radio. One coyote actually jumped up on a woman and pushed her down then grabbed her dog. It's unfortunate, yet people are destroying the coyotes habitat to build more houses and they have no where to go. Laguna Woods is a very ritzy part of Orange County. |
That is very sad, but you should always have ur dog in front of you "in view" esp little dogs. |

This is tragic. I had a Coyote outside my garage at 5am in the morning about 3 months ago. there was a YT member about 2 years ago that her Yorkie was killed by a Coyote when she had him outside. |
So sad. I'm sure it's owner is devistated! I can't imagine nor do I want to of something like this happening to my baby. :( |
I walk Teddy in a neighborhood close by and one of the ladies who lives there warned me against walking my dog too early or too late at night because they've seen a lot of coyotes in the area :( I feel horrible for this woman...I can't even begin to imagine... |

The dog was on lead on the ground but was a bit behind her so not right next to her. |

Of course, I don't live near coyotes. I've seen raccoons and armadillos, but I think my neighborhood is too rowdy for coyotes, although we do have a creek and trees, so maybe they just stay well hidden. Also, coyotes are scavengers. They'll eat anything smaller than them, and will even attempt attacks on larger animals. They are nasty, vile creatures and we shoot them at our lease to keep them from attacking the fawns. |
