Belle is Being Spayed Today I brought Belle to be examined by my vet this morning because she has been spotting on and off and licking herself constantly since she went into heat in early June. He said that she most likely has a persistant folicle on one of her ovaries or could be some pathology in her reproductive tract, but that basically she's been in heat for almost 2 months. He said that I could leave her and he'd spay her after lunch..... so needless to say I left her with him. She looked so sad, but it's for the best and she'll feel much better now. I can't wait to have her home! |
Prayers going out for your Belle and her spay today. |
Wishing good thoughts for Belle and hoping for a speedy recovery. |
Prayer for Mommy and Belle. Feel better soon baby. |
wishing belle a speedy recovery |
Oh poor little thing, I'm so glad the found the problem and hope surgery goes well. She's got to feel much better after she heals. Best of luck, I know it's hard on you. |
Prayers for Belle and her Mommy that all goes well and a speedy recovery. |
Hope all goes well and that she feels so much better afterwards. I had to tether my girl to me afterwards because she acted like nothing had happened and wanted to jump on & off the furniture and chase the other dogs right after I got her home. Hope your baby feel better quickly. |
My Madison goes in for her spay on Friday.. sending good thoughts for Belle and hopes for a speedy recovery! |
Sending good thoughts and prayers for Belle and hugs to both of you!! |
I hope she feels better soon. |
Thank you all for the kind words. I planned on having her spayed soon, just not today! It was a bit of a shock to just bring her in thinking maybe she had an infection that needed meds and then to have leave her to have major surgery. My vet called around 1 to say that he spayed her on his lunch break and that she did well, and was already starting to wake up. He also said that her uterus was enlarged and that he was glad we went ahead with the surgery today. He also removed several retained baby teeth and she will be on antibiotics for a few days while her mouth heals. I can pick her up around 7 and I CAN'T WAIT! :) On a side note.... he asked me who her groomer is because she looks so pretty and I was proud to say that I groom her myself ;) Anyway.... 7 o'clock can't get her soon enough, I've missed my little girl today!!!! |
spayed Good luck. My Prince Gizmo will be neutred next month..Im so scared for him |
Don't forget the baby's jello...smile and gifts and hugs |
She's Home! Belle is home now, and resting comfortably. She looked so pitiful when the tech carried her out to me, she could barely keep her eyes open. My poor little girl had a rough day, but tomorrow will be a better day! |
I am so glad she is home and the vet was able to make her feel better. Give her lots of hugs and kisses, and keep us posted on her progress. |
Aww poor baby!! |
I will be having my baby spayed in a couple of months. What can I expect? What about the jello, I have never heard of that? |
When we got home last night I put her on the couch and she stayed there until it was bedtime. I offered her water, she didn't want to drink anything, but she'd been on IVfluids all afternoon, so I didn't worry about that. She slept on my pillow all night. This morning she didn't get up when my other dogs did, she is still very quiet today.... but she is improving. I got her up, she drank some water and ate a tiny bit of food. (she had 6 baby teeth removed so I think her mouth is sore) She went back to bed and is resting again. I have her seperated from my other dogs until she's feeling better. Her incision looks great and she is fine, just tired and I think the pain meds are keeping her quiet, too. She wags her tail and is happy to see me every time I check on her so I'm sure she'll be back to her sweet silly self in no time! |
