I wouldnt take him he is young and is able to be stressed easy and there is alot of commotion and parties |
yeah, i wouldn't take him, he's too young and if he obviously already has stress issues, i just feel its a little cruel.... i wouldnt take him and leave him in a crate in aa different room either bc all the noise is going to make him nervous. i would leave him at home, and explain to your fam and friends, they should understand, and then just dont stay the whole time, leave a little early. it'll be a good chance for you to help him get used to his crate! (god knows this is a hard thing to do) i think it was harder on me to get the crate thing down than it was for my baby. |

I would be way to stressed out to take my little ones to a party. I don't think I would enjoy the party for worrying about my babies. It sounds like there will be a lot of people there. I would leave mine at home just to be safe and give me piece of mind. But, I am a type A and a major worry-wort when it comes to my babies so I am usually a little over protective. Hope you have a great time at the party. |

hahaha, u read me like a book, i really have made up my mind, im just riddled with guilt coz she already postponed once (when i said he's too young so i wont come) so now i feel bad saying that again.. but i've asked my brother to come home for that weekend to look after him so i dont have to take Ziggy with me, and I'm going to consult my vet and see what he says. If push comes to shove and im out of options, ill just stay and home, coz i ALONE will have to deal if he gets sick you know.. |

thanks :) |
I wouldn't take a 15 week old pup anywhere. He hasn't completed his puppy shots yet and is still vulnerable to diseases. Socialization is important, but not at the risk of your pups's health. |

I agree and would like to add that at 15 weeks your baby may not be through with all of its shots. A young puppy needs to be protected from a crowd of people and other dogs that it doesn't live with unit shots are done. As for small children, there will be alot of excitement already and to add little people into the mix can create a bad moment. When Mina is introduced to little people I try to pick a quiet moment so both the children and the dog are not already overly excited. I hope that you have a good time at the party and are able to work out what is best for both you and your baby. |
visit I think thats too young to bring him around rowdy kids who may want to play with him n stress him out or drop him.... |
update: Thanks for all the replies and advise. I took Ziggy to the vet for his second last round of shots and asked his opinion, coz he knows Ziggy's history and all. He said it would be fine if there werent any other dogs or kids.. And there wont be. But i was still uncomfortable so I asked my brother to come home from the weekend so I can leave Ziggy at home. My mom thought this was a bad idea because 1. he'll be at work during the day 2. he probably wont want to sleep in bed with him at night (which Ziggy is use to with me) So basically i cant leave him :/ The number of people that will be there is around 10-15.. Its more of a chill out than a party, but im so overprotective i had to consider all my options before deciding that ill take him with me. I cant leave early either coz my ma is my transport and she wont be able to come back at night. So my plan is to have him with me and by my side at my cousin's house untill the guests arrive. then Ill put him in a bedroom with his pee pads, toys, food etc.. I will be checking on him evey hour. I hope he'll be fine.. Like i said, its more of a day time "waxing party" for us girls. so most people will be going out afterwards at around 8 or 9 pm. Im getting t my cousin's house at around 1 and the guests will be arriving at around 3pm.. so im hoping its not too much for him. I will keep you all posted after i come back from the party.. Wish me luck And thanks for all the comments! |
I reccomand you crate train him, then when you go to the party take him with you in his crate, have food and water with him and some toys. He should do fine in the party but he could be scared of the people, take him everywhere before the party so he's more used to many people, you can for example take him to the petstore, walk somewhere where are many people, take him into a store with you etc. In the party, dont forget him you have to be almost constantly looking out for him, taking him outside to pee, watch out that the kids dont take him even some people dont know how to handle dogs and hurt them. If there will be drunk people there then I don't reccomand taking him with you, you can propably find someone to babysit him then over 1 night. Good luck ! |
