It is really hot today! Just got done work, and now off to a Farmer's Market!

I know! I'm just outside Albany! And I think it's supposed to be worse tomorrow! Of course, just as we were going to go in the pool... it started raining!

Yeah, it was just around 90 today and it's supposed to get near triple digits the rest of the week. I was dry within 5 minutes of getting out of the pool today!

I am sick of this hot weather!

It's supposed to be 101 here in MD on Friday.
And that's not even including the humidity.
It's probably going to feel like 110. Ugh. :(

Jackson has already been driving me nuts the past few days because he hasn't been getting proper exercise. What am I going to DO with him?!? LoL.

we will be having a heat wave. Tomorrow , Friday and Saturday are going to all be in the 90's. i hate it!!!

It will be in the mid 90's here in Georgia for the next few days. World News just said there have been 22 heat related deaths already.

yep...upstate was very warm today...:)...THANK GOODNESS for A/C. You know its hot out when even the kids... who love to be outside all day long hang out in doors. We played on the slip and slid some and with the sprinkler but it was even almost too hot for that!! Stay cool everyone!

Holland MI, right on Lake Michigan. 95 here today with a heat index of 103 YUCK!!!! Puppy says it's too hot to go out to walk today.

It was 95 at 7p.m. here. Finally got my central air fixed-my apt. has dropped almost 20 degrees since 9a.m.
But when I had to go out this is what I felt like:

It was 102 here today,Im not gonna look and see what the temp is right now. I dont want to know! We are not allowed to water our yards between 10am and 6pm here. So my sprinklers are going right now.

Kind of like an oven outside.

Yup! I decided i'm not going to complain, because....
1. Haven't had to mow my lawn in three weeks because of very little rain. :D
2. It's warm enough to go in my pool everyday, if I want to.
3. Winter will be here soon enough, without wishing it was cooler!

I think it was 109 today where we are :eek:!

Do those of you in upstate NY even have air conditioning? How about public places? I lived in Schenectady long ago, and don't recall any A/C. Hope you all stay cool enough!

We left a restaurant in Dallas at 10:30 and hubby's truck mirror said 102!!! :eek:

Our AC is out. Went out last night about 9:30 pm and hvac guy says we need a new one, and he's 10 days out on service work.... Looks like fun for us the next 2 weeks!

We get really hot here about 5 and it was like 95 degrees the other day at that time. Its ridiculous

Please say a prayer for my poor DH and his co-workers. He works for the water department in a very busy little tourist town, and the temps have been above 100 degrees all week. That is ambient, and with the humidity, it is more like 112 or so! His poor little string-bean body is just about burned up, and most of the guys have suffered heat exhaustion. The GM doesn't get out of his A/c office or vehicle to experience this heat, and has no emphathy at all!:mad::( I know I'm a little prejudiced, but I guess it will take a near-death to get his attention!

Sounds like you all should head to the Four Seasons! They'll spritz you with Evian while you sip yummy frozen drinks around the pool. :thumbup:

There should be a law against that! I wonder how much suffering will have to go on before there is?! Hopefully your hubby and friends will be okay!

I just know a lot of places up there don't have any A/C (althought, I wasn't aware of many without water or potties...shall have to keep my eye out for those :D). DS is headed to NE to dorms that don't have A/C and I have a young friend at Renssalear that doesn't. Do most?

Thanks! I try to do my part by sending him off with fresh fruit/ iced tea, etc., but you're right, there should be at least an ordinance that requires city managers to have the employees that are in the elements to start work early and leave early, and to provide water (the least of creature comforts, health wise) and frequent breaks! This guy gets bent out of shape if anyone is "caught" sitting inside their work truck with the AC running. Last year it wasn't quite this bad, heat-wise, but DH had to go to the paramedics station because he almost passed out! This summer is much worse, but if anyone says anything to him, the GM either shines them on, or yells at them. What a (richard)!!!:mad:

Has he tried Emergen-C? You can even buy it at Wal-Mart, it is packets that you mix with water and there are several flavors.

AOL is currently showing 109 for my area, I think we are now on 42 days of over 100.

Pack the RV,take the dogs and kids and go to a nice RV park with a pool. Less to clean and you will have cable.

I always said when we get our pool I would wish for hot weather. Forget it, it's even too hot for the pool. My dogs and I prefer to stay in the ac and as much as we love our pool it doesn't even tempt me.
