Nervous Mommy! Teddy is 7 1/2 months and is getting neutered on Friday. He is also getting his "shark teeth" removed. I, of course, am a nervous reck because he is so tiny. I know he is in good hands (we love our vet and Teddy loves her too) I just hate to have to leave him. Any tips and advice for him coming home? I am wondering if he little mouth is going to be in pain and if so what should I feed him? Or do to make him more comfortable? Please send warm wishes his way. |
Poor baby, Teddy should be fine, it is always harder on us mama's. My Tessie was spayed at 8 months and had teeth pulled. she did great and since then my 2 boys have been neutered and my Sassy was spayed last minth. Boys are a lot easier than girls and bounce back faster. He will be groggy when he comes home, he will have pain meds, you will want to let him rest for several days, and no jumping. May want to give him soft food for his teeth. My boys acted like nothing happened and were back to normal in a few days. |

I give mine boiled white meat chicken (very small pieces) sometimes, soft vegetables, like carrots, and scrambled eggs. But not everyday. They also like rice. |

I will be in your shoes in about a month and a half and not looking forward to it either. I agree that it's probably harder for us mommies than our yorkie babies. I am sure he will do great. |
Tomorrow is the big day for Teddy! Please keep him in your thoughts. |
aw, thinking of him.. i dont know if ill be brave enough to neuter my baby! but ill have to just do it, for his sake.. Good luck to your little guy |
