Beef Trachea Dog Chews - Anyone Else Try These? 3 Attachment(s) I just receive my order from www.bestbullysticks.com. I ordered bullysticks like I normally do but I also wanted to try some different chews. I bought some natural bull part bones that I'm not sure I like. I suppose I misjudged the size as some of what I bought is appropriate for a Great Dane and I think Max is scared of them! But I also bought bull trachea which I gave to Max this morning. I bought 12" because I'm paranoid of the boys choking on small pieces. It was like handing them empty paper towel rolls. Max went right into his bed and started chewing. It didn't crack like some of the other bones. It's not brittle, but it's more like the way a bully stick is eaten. It became soft and chewy. Max absolutely loved it! He had it for 1/2 hour and barely got into it. It's perfect for him since he's on crate rest the next few days  Has anyone tried giving their dogs trachea? What are your thoughts? Here's the link to the trachea: Beef Trachea 12" - Moo Tubes - Windies Here are some photos. Cooper hasn't tried it yet but he's enjoying walking around the house with it all day. The fact that they are only .79 cents each is awesome! Especially if they last as long or longer than a bully stick. I'll let you know how Jackson likes them when I order! |
DON'T BUY THEM!!! Max has been enjoying it most of the day and barely getting through it. But I heard some coughing noises and raced over to him. He pulled a little sticky piece off that was on the verge of getting stuck in his throat. I put my fingers in his mouth and pulled it out before it was too late. I threw them away:( |
Oh, no. Thank God you were right there. |
I'm sorry you had a bad experience with them. I buy beef tracheas from onlynaturalpet and I haven't had any choking issues with Teddy. Thank goodness your baby is well and safe. |
I'm always right there trying to keep my boys safe. I'm disappointed but I suppose we can stick with bullysticks for now. Max loves them. Cooper can carry them around all he wants. |

Raw bones are supposed to be the safest thing out there... |

Silly me, looking at the best unit price, ordered a pack of 25 of them . What a waste! Guess we'll just stick with bullysticks. |
