I have been lurking around for a few months and figured it is time to introduce myself. I am Marta and I live in the Atlanta suburbs (those of you familiar with the ATL will recognize my name. I have heard all of the jokes.). I am the housekeeper and housemother to a pack of 5 dogs. I have had dogs all of my life. I got my first Yorkie 5 years ago. Raina is still the queen of my heart. Then Gus arrived. My son and his wife named Gus and his full name is Asparagus. They have at times named dogs Hamburger and Pickle. Then came Beanie Baby. At almost 2 years old she thinks she is still a puppy. That brings us to Wally, my baby. Wally has an under bite that would do a Shih Tzu proud, but Yorkies aren't supposed to have them. I love the little guy and his goofy teeth.

I have forgotten the grande dame of my canines, Reggie. I recently changed her name to Regina instead of the silly Reginald Phantasmo Terwiliger that my son named her. She is a dachshund mix that we got from the local shelter. The vet said she was no spring chicken and was probably 5 or 6 years old. That was in 2006 and Reggie is still going. She obviously has arthritis and has been getting increasingly grayer. She groans as loud as I do when she gets up in the morning.

Let's see if I do this right. I have had several tabs open reading instructions and trying things out. We have Beanie Baby, Gus, Wally and Reggie.
I got everyone but Raina. I guess she will be by herself.

Since she is the queen, I guess her own posting is more appropriate.

Welcome to Yorkie Talk Marta (and I won't make a smart butt comment about your name). Your little pack of dogs are cute, I really like Reggie but they are all cute and appear to be well loved.

Thank you for refraining for any comments. It was a very strong reason for me to move here from Ohio. They didn't have any buses with my name on them up North!
