Dog coat I have a 6 month old yorkie, he is black and tan, but he not as fluffy as a yorkie, will his coat grow as he gets older. I am new to the site, so hopefully will have posted this on the correct site. He is only small and quiet slim, but healthy. |
Welcome to YT! If his coat is fine & silky, he's not likely to have a very fluffy coat. Roxy is silky and it grows painfully slow. The good part is that it saves on grooming bills. Some have a cottony coat that seems to be much fuller & fluffy & grows much faster. It's all in the genetics of the dog. Shine a light in his eyes or take a flash picture of him. If eyes reflect green, he's most likely a silky-coated yorkie. Not as much fluff doesn't mean that he's not a yorkie. Hope you enjoy it here. Always someone here to help. Enjoy! |
My yorkie is 6 months old also. I gave her a scissor cut over 2 months ago and it is just now looking like her hair is longer. Was also wondering why it grows so slowly myself. Thanks for posting. Would love to see picture. |
