is she a yorkie ? 1 Attachment(s) Well Ihave had her over 3 years now.. I did not know much about yorkies when I brought Suzi home from the breeders. As a little puppy she had all the features. But, she is really too dark. I do not know if she is even a yorkie or just a badly bred one. Suzi does have reddish on all the right places , just not the brialliant gold. I love her to pieces even if she was not a yorkie , but I do think she is, just badly bred. This is all so confusing. Suzi is in my avatar and in my album. She has the silky hair , and behaves just like a yorkie too... :confused: If she is not a yorkie 100% what might she be mixed with? Could she also have both silky and yorkie? |
She looks like a yorkie to me, but I'm no expert. JMHO |
She looks like a cute little yorkie to me. Most people do have poorly bred yorkies, I know I have 2. Unless you buy from a show breeder or someone very dedicated to breeding to the breed standard your going to end up with one. We as their parents see all their flaws which are unnoticable to others, I think Suzy is sweet and you should enjoy her for what she is a lovely pet |
2 Attachment(s) She really resembles my Fourche Terrier (Yorkie/Westie mix). You might want to do more research on them as no to Fourche Terriers look a like. Did she come with AKC or CKC papers?? I might be wrong, as I am nooo expert, either way she's a beautiful girl! Here's a couple pictures of Gabby that you can compare to! |

1 Attachment(s) Hoestly, this was a very hard thing for me to post. But it was bothering me. I wish that I have personally seen more yorkie's . Not just on tv and pictures. Nobody has ever said she was not a yorkie, only me.. Her human mommy. Her face and size are all like one , just her coloring is off. The poster who presented pictures of the little mixed yorkie, Suzi is really not that dark.. She is salt and pepper. She has red on her , just not her whole face. And her her legs are lighter too. Her hair is longer now too. thanks. I did see a little resemblence to the westie/yorkie.. but, Suzi's hair lays straight down too. And is lighter. What an adorable mix though. |

She looks like a Yorkie to me also. I have 4 yorkies and they all look different. 3 of them came from the same doggie mom and dad but different litters. There color changed a lot they were originally black/tan-gold. Now they are silver. |

Thank you guys.. I wish I had learned more before I got her. I think I still got very lucky to have brought home a pure yorkie without papers.. my son and I love her soo much. I really like the golden face yorkie ... I love the coloring , and whenever I see a yorkie they have so much of the golden red. But as you all nice people explained a yorkie can have darker colors like Suzi. I Just have not seen as many like her. The last few years being on YT Suzi's behaviors are all idenical to a typical little yorkie . It was just her darker color that threw me off a little . Whenever I have Suzi out with me people eww and Ahh over her, and tell me they want one like her. I want to hold her tighter when they do that. She is a nervous little thing and can be very hyper when she meets people too, or she is the biggest barker ever, enough to scare off a grown man. :) |
Suzi is so pretty. I agree she looks all yorkie to me. My Roxie is 3 and still has a lot of black on her head and face. |
We have the opposite end of the color spectrum! lol DH hates taking Baxter places because he draws so much attention. Everyone wants to argue about him being a Yorkie when they see him. |
