Not excited about tomarrow Whining just a little here. Tomarrow is Mina's apt for spay. I have not ever had a little girl go through this. The only other female dog here is my mothers 10yr old pom and that was done loooong before I got her. I swear Mina knows because she has been in my face and in my lap all day. She still has all of her puppy canines and the adults are in,so that will happen tomarrow as well. Right along with microchip. I have already set the day aside and told my family if they need anything,to call someone else. Once my baby is home,I will be sitting on the couch with her,so dinner will not be done by me. I purchased onesies for her for when she gets home and there is boiled chic in the frig for when she is up to eating. I need a hug! |
Heres a big cyber hug for you. It is nerve racking but you will be very relieved when its done. Make sure you get pain meds in case she needs them not all vets give them unless you ask. She may be out of it when you bring her home but should be getting back to normal by the next day. It helped me to stay busy while mine were in for their spays. I hope it goes quickly for you |
Big Hug for you. We all worry over this and they do better than we do. lol You will be amazed at how quickly they bounce back. It will be so good to have it all behind you. |
good luck to you and Mina |
Here is a big hug for you. :big_hug: |
Sending a great big hug to you and Mina too!!!! She wil be fine. My best friend's pup was spayed this morning and is home. She said Ginger (the dog) was kind of quiet and she was going to give her something to eat and take her to go potty. I will keep you and Mina in my prayers. Please let us know how everything goes. |
Big hugs to you and Mina. |
Thank you all,,pain meds,I do need to remember this. When the guys have had their teeth cleaned he usually sends an antibiotic home too. I keep a bottle of medicam here, guess I need to go check it. Thanks for the advice to keep busy. I have set aside some onsies that I am turning into tshirts for a friends little boy yorkie and our chi for vacation for tomarrow. I will be helping my daughter pack for a choir trip as well. |
Lots of hugs:hug::hug::hug: to you and Mina. She will do great, I had my Sassy spayed last month and sh did great, she came home the same day, still groggy. She had very little pain but i gave her pain med 1 time a day to keep her comfortable. In 3 days she was her old self running around, just not jumping as high. She had inside stitches so I didn't have to worry about her tearing them out. |
I will be thinking of you and Mina tomorrow. I know how stressful it is on the mommies when our babies have procedures done. Stay busy tomorrow and hopefully it will fly by. |
Hug's to you and Mina for tomorrow. Just stay busy while she is there. All will be Ok with her. |
Just remember she had belly surgery. Don't pick her up from under her arms and stretch her belly. Put one hand under her bottom and scoop her up. Try not to stretch her belly. It hurts :( Poor baby ....poor you!!!! Sending great big get well hugs from my crew. I know it is the worst thing to have to wait by the phone. :ghug: |

My vets tech will send me a text as soon as she is out. She will let me know what all was done (how many teeth),how she did and when they expect her to be able to be picked up. I will be wearing my phone next to my heart,,,literally. |
It will be fine. I had to go through the same thing with a tiny chihuahua before, and she did wonderfully. You will also be in good hands since you have a good relationship with your vet. (My skin kids in Oklahoma still have the chihuahua.) |
Mina is at the vet,she is the only one there for several hours so she has the total attention of the vet and 2 techs. There will be no teeth pulled today, just not ready yet. I will schedule that later, probably after she turns a year. She weighed in at a whopping 4 & 3/4lbs,probably 5 when she actually has some food in her. |
