Puppy Package
 
Did anyone's breeder provide one for their puppy? If so, what's in the package? I know a couple of dog toys and a blanket, but what else?

We got a little bag of food, a blanket, some instructional brochures, shot records and microchip numbers and a tube of nutrical.

I give a puppy package that includes:Copies of Adoption contract, Parents pedigrees, medical records, AKC papers, A reference list of phone numbers Vets, Puppy Classes, Dog walkers,Pet Sitters, Doggie day care, Groomers (people we know and trust). A book list. ( I usualy give the book list twice, once when they pay a deposit and once in the puppy go home pack) Baby Kong toy, hair bow or bandana, food sample with feeding instructions, pee-pad, photo of babies parents, My own instruction book.

Mina's breeder dressed her in a purple dress and bow. The bag contained shot records,food,blanket that she had crocheted,a list of suggestions for training in general,she made sure that I had her number,email and FB as well.

My puppy package included the paperwork to register Piper with AKC. A record of all her shots. Written instructions on how to feed and take care of a yorkie puppy and warning signs of a distressed puppy. I got food for 2 weeks, bowls, nutrical, toys, dress, sweater, bed ( to this day it's her favorite) and a pet carrier for the ride home.

Sparky's puppy packaged included Contract, AKC registration papers, Vet clearance, shot records, nutrical, albon, a toy, and sample of food.

Wow! Your breeder is amazing!! I think the breeder will just provide a blanket, shot records, registration papers, a toy, and food sample...

It's a dewormer. I asked my doctor if it's ok to give and he said yes and that he is glad that the breeder is proactive.

Hey you're in CA!! Did you get your baby from a breeder in CA? Where in CA are you located? Maybe we can have a playdate ;)

My puppy pkg had a blankie, baggie of dog food, akc paperwork, toy, dewormer, her shot records and literature.

We live in the Bay Area (N. Cali). Yes I did get Sparky from a local breeder which after reading here is a not so good breeder. I got lucky that he is very healthy. A playmate would be great! Whereabouts in CA are you?

I used to live in San Jose, but I moved to LA for school. Will be back in a year though!! :D

When I got Cali, the breeder gave us a puppy package that included so many things!! She gave us blanket, toys, treats, a small dry food bag, some wet cans, some syringes in case she wouldn't eat and we had to hand-feed her, bows, hand-made diaper..and much more.. She is the best :)

My puppy pack came with a lot of papers (health guarantee, ear taping information, housebreaking tips, information on hypoglycemia/coccidia/parvo, copy of pet contract, packet of Eukanuba coupons that also has the health records and other papers on puppy stuff, health record from the vet, etc.), a bear loofah toy, newspapers, a cow's hoof to chew on, syringes of Albon and a syringe of Pana-something (wormer), a tube of Fortical, 2 bags of Eukanuba puppy food (of course, we're feeding her Canidae now), ... Mine had a lot in it. I was surprised.

We were given about a month of the food she was being fed, contract, shot records, vet records, list of recommended products (pens, shampoo, conditioner, comb, brush, pens, travel bags, crates, etc), instructions on how to bathe and shave ears, instructions on how much to feed and what/what not to feed, agreement to contact breeder if anything happens to us and cannot care for dog anymore, health guarantee, basic health instructions (what to do for diarrhea, vomiting, etc), recommended anesthesia for surgical procedures, vaccination recommendations (which ones to give/not give), pedigree, AKC papers, name and # of her vet, and a sweater.
