Yes please send me the link. Thanks |
You may want to wait for others to chime in. Please keep in mind that my boy Max, the one you see in the photo is 13 pounds. He's in a large ex-pen which is probably much more than you need, depending on your yorkie's size. It's super easy to clean inside, in case of an accident. It also has a zipper top in case your little one is a climber. There is no escape. Here is the large: ![]() |
Expens can also be made of metal. Midwest Metals Exercise Pen w/ Door (552-30DR) You can pick them up at Petsmart or Petco. |
1 Attachment(s) I have the same play yard as AllDogBoots...I love it and so do my pups, its there safe place (den)...even tho all are potty trained now I still have it up with their beds in it and thats where they take their naps in the day time...and I still confine my pups Harley & Ivy in it when I have to leave the house, they are puppies still at 10 mos, I don't trust them yet as far as chewing goes LOL...Bella is the only one that gets full run of the house when we are not home, she is almost 3 yrs old so she has grown out of the chewing machine she use to be LOL. But they are excellent for confining new pups and potty training, they have enough room for food/water/bed on one side and potty pad on the other. Cause a 12 week old puppy can't hold their potty any longer than 1-2 hours and at night you don't have to set your alarm every 2 hours to take them to potty, like you would have to if you had them in a crate...you get a full night sleep and they can potty when they need to. Traveling, they fold up flat, take up no storage space in the car or closet. They come in a all sizes and color...I have 2 cause I have a 2 story home...a small 24x44 that I kept upstairs by my bed to confine them in before they graduated potty training to sleeping in the bed with us LOL. I now have that one put up and only use when we travel and go visiting...I also have a large 36x57, its huge...that I keep down stairs, to confine Harley & Ivy to when I have to go out. I like the play yards better than the xpens cause the play yards have floors in them so if they do miss the potty pad its not on your floor or carpet, xpens don't have floors in them....play yards also have a top that you can zip up to keep those little climbers in...xpens don't...play yards give them that den feeling of a crate that dogs like but its large just like an xpen. I have never seen them in any stores..you have to order them online I got mine off Ebay...I just went to the ebay site, typed in the search field...doggie xpen/play yards. |
oh I LOVE my metal x pens,as a breeder I could not do without one, so I have two.. I also make sure when I adopt a puppy out that the new owner has an x pen, for the puppy's security. I never leave my house without my dogs being secure in the x pen. In my humble opinion is a MUST have for every small :)dog owner.. |
Here is Riley's x-pen!! LOVE it! I had his bedding/play area on one end and his peepee pad on the other. He turned 1-year old May 12th. As of June 6th, he had full run of the bedroom... as of Today, he has full run of the whole place.... so I am going to tear down his x-pen and put it in the back of the closet. :) ProSelect Suite Retreat Pet Pens | PetEdge.com |
3 Attachment(s) I have four metal xpens that I couldn't do without at all. Each one has eight 24" wide panels that are 24 inches tall. I can connect them all for a very large area to play in outside. When we travel, I take at least two of them with us so we don't have to tie them to a table or chair leg when we pic-nic or visit anyone. We take them to connect with others expens when we have meet-ups. We also take them with us when we take the motor coach so we can put them around the side of the coach and fence an area. Hard to explain. I'll just post a couple of pictures instead. Easy Exercise Pens for Dogs | PetEdge.com |
1 Attachment(s) This was our set up with xpens from when our two were tiny babies. We had the metal type but we picked up a roll of vinyl flooring from Home Depot and just put that under the pen for easy potty clean up. It worked great until they went through a heavy chewing phase and decided that the corners of the vinyl would be great to chew on. We have the other type of playpen too, and used that for a while, after the vinyl chewing started, when we had leave then at home alone. That didn't work as well for us because we didn't trust them to be in the pen together. Our boy could get a little rough with his little sister. They've worked it out now that they are older. We've also used the playpen style when traveling too because it folds up easily and is much lighter. I really liked both types of xpens. It just depends on your situation. I highly recommend having one of some sort though. |
1 Attachment(s) Roxie loves her ex-pen...it's like her little house. I actually bid on it and won it for very little on ebay. It has a removable top and bottom, and plenty of room for her bed and water bowl. We don't keep it out all the time anymore, but it comes in handy when she has to stay with my parents. |
