Such a creature of habit I was going over to JoAnn's Fabric in MD today. DH was mowing, I got ready to leave, told Zhoie I was leaving and she couldn't go this time. She always runs to her cage unless I tell her she gets to go. Even though she is 2.5 yrs, I have never left her out but with DH home and I knew he would be coming in to stir his spagetti sauce, I wanted to see how she would do, so I left the door open. Told DH to check on her but don't talk to her. Well...low and behold..I get back 2 and a half hours later, open the door and there she is....still in her cage :eek: DH said he was in 3 times to stir and she didn't come out. LOL, she is such a creature of habit....amazing. I just thought that was so weird, are there any others out that that is so routine minded? |
DH = Dog Husband? |
Awe. Zhoie is such a good girl.:) I've heard that crate trained dogs end up feeling secure in their crates & that must be how she feels, too. I can't think of any regular habits Princess has, though I'll admit I wish I'd toughed it out & crate trained her. Maybe next time.;) |

That is so cute. My mom's pom does that. It will even stick its little foot out to grab the door and pull it closed. Can't latch it of course. You have a smart girl. She knows where she's suppose to be! |

It's true, she loves her crate and goes in it often and nap. I'm thinking we will always have to have craft in our sunroom :rolleyes: LOL |
Zhoie is the complete package - pretty and smart! :) |
Ok, first of all...what are you making!? :) My parents dog loves her crate. She sleeps there all the time. It has always been her "safe" place. They just leave it open and let her use it as she pleases. Then mom got a cloud 9 bed. Guess where she sleeps now? |
Awww, Zhoie is such a good girl. Such a smart little girl too:) |
She is a good girl. My DD pup Lola does the same thing, she is crated during the day and if they forget to shut the crate door she just stays in there :) she loves her crate:D |

I wish we would have stuck it out with Bentley, the crate training. He cried too much. He prefers to be on one of us whenever we are home, and usually there is at least one of us home at all times. He probably would have gotten used to it but we felt sorry for him crying so much. So we got an expen type thing and used that to restrain him but he had plenty of room and a pee pee pad in there since we were potty training him to use the pad. We never use the expen thing anymore. He's always on one of us or in his fluffy bed. Maybe next time we'll crate train our next puppy. |
