Chewing Heaven It is funny to watch my two pups with their chew bones. When my little guy Max is chewing a chew bone, he is often laying down with his eyes barely open and just slowly gnawing on the bone. He looks like he is in doggy heaven. My little girl Abby - completely different. She has to stand up and chew with a very intense look in her eye. But yet, still chew heaven. |
Worry...worry...worry My boy Marley (3 yrs, 9#) is such a laid back, beautiful boy... but when he's given a rawhide toy or a chew bone, his personality totally changes. He moves the toy/bone constantly... can't relax even for a moment... growls at little Max (19mos, 4.5#) and is completely antisocial. I've decided not to give those toys/bones anymore. It's too distressing! |
LOL my little man chews with eyes open like hes ready for it to move so he can attack! lol r ur babies brother and sisters? or different litters all together? |
My little ones are different litters, but have the same baby daddy. They are 2.5 weeks apart in age. Max is 16 weeks (at 3.9 pounds) and Abby is 14 weeks (and 2.4 pounds) today. Their mom's were 5.0 and 4.5, with the dad being about 4.0. They only get chew bones when I am in the room with them. I constantly watch them and take away the rawhide anytime they chew to the point they may be able to bite off a piece. Max just looks at me when I give it back to him as if to say, "Aw man, I've been working on that forever." I ordered some of the naked bones for them and OMG - they love them. But Abby cannot just lay and chew like Max. She is constantly fidgeting. Course, they switch chews about 3-4 times at the beginning before they accept that they both have the same thing. LOL, they are so funny sometimes. |
