How or Where do you store your babies clothes? Mina is beginning to amass quite a wardrobe. I have a cradenza that was converted to a doll clothes closet many years ago,to hang her things in. I was just wondering how others that have had a baby longer and may have more to keep up with, how do you store your babies clothes, blankets, leashes, harnesses, dresses and ts. If you hang them, where have you acquired the hangers. Do you keep it to just so many items and then rotate things out, sharing with other petparents? I do this with my kids clothes. Just curious, |
My dog clothes are just in a drawer and some in a closet in a plastic container. But, so many of the members have made beautiful armoires for their pets. Another member's husband makes a cute bone shaped clothes rack. There are tons of options! |
Kaji's jackets and such are hanging in my closet, and his giant pile of tees are folded neatly into a cardboard box. His blankets and leashes don't have a designated place yet. Most of his leashes are in my car. I can't wait until we have space. I'm going to get an armoir made just for him. |
MoMo's clothes are in the cloest and he has a whole draw to himself lol When i get more room I do want to have him his own clothes where he dont have to share with mom and dad :) |
We use the matching wicker baskets. You can get a hole set at Hobby Lobby (if there is one near you)for pretty cheap. Gabby has learned which baskets her clothes are in & when she wants a new dress she likes to pick it out herself. =) |
Levi has his own tall dresser for all of his things. Top drawer is for heartworm and flea preventatives, other medications, etc. Second drawer holds bandannas, collar charms, extra nametags. Third is for T-shirts, fourth is sweaters and jackets, fifth holds costumes and holiday clothes. The sixth (bottom) drawer holds his extra collars and harnesses. This works well for us and blends nicely into my bedroom furniture. We are very jealous of all the AWESOME armoires we have seen YT members make for their babies. |

She even sits still and watches me in the mirror while I put her topknot and clip in. I used to make and sell American Girl Doll dresses and even made coathangers to go with them. I think I will just redesign the hanger pattern for Mina's clothes. Some of her dresses are hung up and some are laying in a pile on my dresser waiting for hangers. Her little armoire has a drawer on top. Ive seen these at nude furniture stores and could be easily painted and stenciled. Mine came from my grandmothers house all of the way from GA. Keep the ideas coming though, this is fun and there are some great ideas. |
Fido doesnt have many clothes (not much about dog clothing in stores here in Iceland), he has about 5 t-shirts, 1 thick coat for the winter when its cold outside, 2 warm sweaters made by my grandmother (something called Lopapeysa in Iceland, dont know what its called in english), and few bandanas :P Well when we talk about collars.... wow I have about 30 collars haha :) about 10 leashes (3 flexi, the other ones are just normal ones) and about 5-6 harnesses ! Also he has like 7-8 food and waterbowls :D my little spoiled rotten yorkie ! And he has about 30-40 bought bows and propably over 100 homemade ones ! I keep all these things all over the place ! I need to find good places for everything.... |
My storage closet is nothing fancy. I took a cheap bookcase and removed the shelves. I cut dowel rods to fit inside and made three rows of rods. If you have a taller bookcase you can put in more rods. I use this for hanging clothes and have a set of plastic drawers for folded stuff. |
They have a dresser, plus some hung in the closet, however, i need to upgrade to a bigger dresser. |
FidotheYorkie...Maybe you will find some good ideas with this thread. Jadabug...That is a great idea, very creative. |
I just hang Betty Boop's clothing in my closet. She has her 3/4 of it and I have my 1/4 (:)). It works out well for both of us. I buy her hangers at Target in the baby department. They are 10 for $1, and come in pink or blue. They're perfect for dog clothing. |
Nice ideas here !! :D Im moving soon, when I move Im going to make a little wardrobe or something for him :) ! |
I bought a baby wardrobe from walmart. It has a shelf at the top then I put a skinny bar to hang most of her "nicer clothes" like dresses, custom made stuff and such, then under that her sweaters are folded, then there is two draws one is has folded piles of the "cheaper clothes" like the dollar shirts from target separated by tanks and t's, she also has some larger shirts for when she not feeling good or had a busy day and her night gowns, then the bottom drawer is jersey like shirts, coats, and holiday wear. I bought hangers on ebay. I have stacking baskets in my closet that I put her blankies in (I have a blankie addiction). Also on the wardrobe doors on the inside I have put the hooks that just stick on that peel of with no sticky left and on one side I have some the hold extra collars (addicted to those to) extra harnesses and on the other side I have a few more collars and extra hangers. On the top shelf of the wardrobe I have two of those small plastic things with the drawer that I keep small stuff it like bows, clips, combs, collar accessories, meds/ medical supplies, and other small things. Then I keep her little tote that has all the stuff she needs for bath time and then I keep a basket that hold all odds and ends. |
