Bows Any tips on keeping bows in your furbaby's hair - Jovi just shakes them out! |
Are you using the bands or clips when you put bows in? |
Dolce used to do that too. I try and find the bows that have the alligator clips on them. Those stay in her hair the whole time. Or sometimes if I find a cute bow that I like but its not the alligator clip, I'll take whatever clip or rubber band off of it and hot glue an alligator clip onto it. |
I offer Gripzie clips on my bows. Gripzies are small pieces of adhesive backed foam that line the inside of the alligator clips. They prevent the bow from slipping. |

These are great! I use them for Rosie when buying from Amy. It really helps keep them in. :) |
Use normal plastic bands (you use each only 1 time and then cut it out of the hair to not cause breakage) and then put the bow over that :) It works the best for me. I try to use only bows with a thick plastic band on it, all those clips just fall out and make me go crazy cause im always putting them in again :P I don't let Fido take things out of his hair, i thought him when he was a puppy that when he has something in his hair he can NOT scratch or pull it out, its forbidden here, he knows that :) |
There's a page on my website that offers some useful tips on how to get your furbaby accustomed to wearing a bow - which in turn will keep them from trying to remove it. You may find this link helpful: Bow Training Tips |

Great tips to have on your site!! Susan has the clips and barrettes too. I don't know what you are currently using but one may work better than the other for you. Some like the bands, I personally can not use them very well. I end up turning the bow around. Lol. I like the clips but there are other options! :D |
