Venting... I really hate fireworks, and I really hate neigbors that light them purposely in their dirve way when they see me out with Gizmo when I'm trying to get him to go potty... |
I am thankful everyday that I have awesome neighbors! Almost every weekend one of us is cooking out for the rest of us. I even have a neighbor that we went camping with a couple of months ago, and when I say we it included my fur babies. I could never imagine one of my neighbors being mean to me our my babies! I guess it helps when you fed them Tbone steaks last week, but I got fed ribs today! |

I know how you feel. Right now these three little punk boys are infront of my house shooting off fireworks that are so loud they are actually shaking my windows. My babies are inside but going off. Razzle is so scared she is hiding and shaking. I have called the police and they must have a scanner over there because they went inside until the officer came and went. Now they are back at it again. |
Im happy to not be living in aa busy city anymore im thankful for the country life now :) |
I am also grateful for chill neighbors! :) I have never really had problems with any neighbors that I've had before and hope that I never do! |
They're not allowed in my complex & some staff lives on the grounds so it should be quiet. We're going where I don't want to bring Princess & I was going to take her to my moms-but she lives near student housing & the fireworks are insane. Sadly, she'll be better off at home alone.:( |
Sorry about the fireworks its bad enough when you have to worry about them on one day but people go crazy and do them anytime around the 4th because thats when they can buy them the easiest. My mom was talking to me tonight on the phone she lives about 30 minutes from me and her older beagle i grew up with was really freaking out bad even with the thundershirt on that normally helps him with thunder and then her yorkie rescue Sammy was starting to freak out too I felt bad for them an her. Then about 15 minutes after I talked to her someone very close to us started setting them off and although Callie handled it better then some she shook and hid under me and then went and layed in the hallway until they were done. I wish fireworks were aloud once a year and no other time so we only have to worry about it once and that maybe they were harder for people to get ahold of. |
Moses isn't scared of them, he just barks and won't settle down now that it's bed time. I have never understood the fireworks thing...it's just an excuse for people to be nuisances! |
I am very thankful I have good neighbors. They bring us food over, and we bring them food. They do love Louie and Louie loves them. When we go over there house we bring Louie at there suggestion and he plays with there 3 cats or should I say torment. They have the most gentle and patient cats I have ever seen to put up with Louie shinanigans. Too funny |

My babies hate fireworks also, guess it will be a couple of long night arounde here. They started last night. Even though we have 5 acres we can still hear a lot of them, have a subdivision behind us. Just praying that don't set anything on fire as dry as it has been. |
We sat out on the patio last night while the fireworks were being displayed. Happily, Seeger did very well (the other 2 have had no issues). We made sure we didn't make a big deal out of all the noise and tried to keep him interested in playing with toys and treats.... needless to say... he couldn't have cared less..... So sorry that your neighbors are a pain..... maybe they need to be introduced to the furbutts? You never know.... it may make a difference! |

People stink sometimes; Fourth is coming. Dog's Well Mellow Mut chicken jerky & Rescue Remedy are stocked up here... |
There is a major-you better not lite anything-ban here. If I hear just one crack or boom,I will be calling the sherriff. Where I live is so small (but surrounded by FtW) that the officer can be at my house in 5min or less. We have 45 counties that have had grass fires and sooo many homes have been lost. |
Thankfully fireworks have been banned in my town this year due to the extreme dry conditions. I know they can be a lot of fun for people, but furbabies just do not understand them. Loud screaming noises followed by big bangs! Sorry to hear your neighbors are like that - they are just idiots. Hope you guys have a quiet 4th of July without too much noise from the neighbors. |
I am sorry! I hate them too. I am so lucky we have not had any this year. Jackson freaks out over them! We went to Gettysburg this weekend but did not get there until Saturday and apparantly they had their fireworks Fri. night, so yay we missed them! I was so glad. Last time he hid under the hotel bed for hours. |
Unfortunately, fireworks are legal in my town. Late last night someone was lighting the really big ones off. They sound like a loud gun going off. I really hate those. Even with the door closed and windows locked we can still hear them. I am glad Suzi and Miely do not freak out. Suzi is the one who is fearful at alomst everything. I cannot wait until this day is over. |

I love the 4th and I'm patriotic, but I just don't understand spending your money to basically light it on fire and piss off your neighbors -.- Debbie downer, out! |
Dogs and baby did great with the fireworks at our house! I was so surprised at how many people took their dogs to the city fireworks show! Literally like one out of every 5 people there had a dog with them-I even saw a Yorkie in a Kwigy front pack it was so cute! Edit: and I saw the largest GSdog I've ever seen at the boardwalk carnival! I backed up while video taping the kids and Dad on a ride and walked into it! |
