Does your yorkie play by themselves? Poppy loves to play fetch and sometimes she plays by herself, she will get one of her toys and throw it then run after it and throw it again. Does anyone else's baby do this? |
Bear loves to play fetch with himself....especially with bully sticks. So fun to watch as he seems to really have fun. He is such an only child :) |
Since I have 4 they play together but Sassy, the baby will play by herself sometimes, she likes to get a small piece of ice and throw it and then chase it. Ice is probably their favorite toy. |
Yes! ZoE plays with her toys by herself, alot. She throws them & chases them, runs around squeaking them. I love that she can entertain herself and that she knows what things are her toys and what are things not to play with. |
Yep Sophie loves to play like that. It is so cute to watch. |
That is but a dream of mine.... Wish I knew the trick to teach them to do that! |

I think maybe play fetch with your pup a lot, they will realise it is fun and maybe start to play by themselves. :) |
Oh...we play fetch a lot alright! HUNDREDS of throws a day! I'd even be happy if she actually brought the toy back right to me. (We're working on that, but so far it's not successful ) What I think is funny is that she picks different favorite toys for fetch each day! |

I have no idea how I taught Poppy to bring the toys back or play by herself, one day she just did it LOL. So your little one will probably surprise you one day! |
Princess will sometimes "kill" a toy when playing alone, but I think a lot of it is due to frustration of playing alone.:p She also plays with this tiny little scrunchie, it is so funny & cute, she does it just like a cat. Other than that, to keep busy she will only chew on chews if she can't be entertained. |
Bogie gets his ball and will get up on the couch or the love seat and he places his ball so it rolls down the pet steps and then he chases it:D |
When Suzi plays by herself she will take one of her stuffed toys and shake the heck out of them, growling while she does that. She is funny , she also likes to roll all over her toys. After Suzi drinks water whe will go to the couch and rub her face all over the couch , I think to dry herself. ;) |
Andy loves to play with his toys by himself and with me. He shakes them, tosses them and squeeks them. I love watching him it's so funny and cute |
I have two and they play together a lot but also by themselves. Abby likes to take one of her toys and toss it in the air. She also does that with her food and treats. Cracks me up. She also like to sit on her bed and bark for no reason - guess she just likes the sound of her own bark. |
Callie does that but after a long time when shes getting bored with it she will come and throw the toy at me. |

Smokey would be content playing by himself all the time, but Chip is so possessive over toys, he ends up right there in the mix of things. Smokey will throw the ball up in the air with his mouth then run after it. Sometimes he'll roll the ball across the floor with his nose, stare at it like he's concentrating, then pounce on it like a cat. Other times he'll randomly get one of his stuff toys and thrash it all around or just walk around squeaking it. Chip was the one who would never play by himself... or correction - he would play with a toy by himself up on the couch or the bed or something up high, only for a few minutes, then he'd randomly "attack" it and push it off the bed. Then he would wait for one of us to get it for him. If we don't get it for him in a timely fashion, he throws a tantrum. Thankfully, Smokey is a good little brother and will usually retrieve it for Chip. |
oh Ziggy does this. he'll play "stalk and pounce" with his teddy or my slippers (that look like teddy's) but soon enough he'll get bored and come over to play with me, lol |
Bentley rarely plays by himself. Maybe once or twice a week for about 5 minutes he'll find a toy and chew on it but that's it. When we play fetch he rarely brings it back to us and drops it. He'll run and get the toy then walk off with it near us and chew on it. He's just never got the hang of giving it to us for us to throw it again. I think if he had a brother or sister he'd be more inclined to play as there would be competition but right now he's an only furchild. |
:D Yup...Sassafras does the same thing...and if she wants me to join in she lets me know by placing the toy by my foot and the sticking her butt up at me!!! Its sooo funny to see!!! :D |
Gracie gets in a crazy mode and will grab a toy and run full speed through the house. She will stop and bark occasionally then take off again at full speed. Sometimes she will grab her ball and throw it and catch it and throw it and catch it. It is very entertaining for us as well as her. I think she is a bit of a show off. |
Monkey only plays fetch by himself with carrots. They are his absolute favorite thing in the world. I love watching him play with his carrots! He will play fetch with us with his real toys too tho. |
Jasper will play by himself a lot.....he plays fetch with his ball or anything really....also likes to bury his toys in his bed and then flip the bed over. So funny. He will shake and growl also....they are so funny. He will bring me the ball and sometimes even let me have it to throw.....working on giving us the ball. His toys are his toys....he doesn't like to share very well. ONLY CHILD also. LOL |
Chloe often plays fetch by herself- it is quite entertaining. Both of my dogs are good at entertaining themselves. |
Yes, that is one of Hannah's favorite things to do. She will throw it across the room and sometimes when she tosses it behind the couch, she will look at me to get it. |
Haha! Moses loves to throw stuff and chase it. He does play fetch with us....I taught him to bring it back by clapping my hands and squealing (yes, squealing)..."bring it to mommy! Bring it!!" And he got a treat when he brought it back. I started out by rolling the ball on the hardwood in the kitchen.. When he got the hang of it, we went outside and worked on it out in the yard! He's a good little fetched! Lol! |

Anyways, Macy is a people dog, not a dog dog. She doesn't like to play with dogs. I don't know why. I think it's because Macy is the only dog I have and she's used to that. One time my sister bought her dog (a bassnet hound) and he scared Macy. :( The funny thing is though when Macy is outside, she sees another dog that is stuck in a fence, she'll go to them to bark (ONLY if dogs are in fences), but if they're out, nope, she doesn't like it, lol. Macy loves people though. She goes crazy when we have visitors. :) |
Austin does it too. On his own. He grabs his sponge bob squeaky toy, which is missing a leg and foot. Wonder how that happen... and runs around the house with it. When Chelsea see's him, she decides to chase him. Its cute. I need to take pics of that. Sponge bob is probably traumatized now..lol |
