TWUladybug | 07-02-2011 07:51 AM | My house does not have a backyard, and it is against city ordinance for my front yard to be fenced. As long as my dogs are in my yard they do not have to be leashed. Those two things being said, my dogs are off leash in my yard everyday, but they have been trained that way. My neighbors are amazed that they will chase a bird or cat out of the yard but only as far as the curb. I can even walk across the street to talk to a neighbor with both of them laying at the curb watching. The only time they know they can leave the yard is if their harness and leash are on. It is all about training and who is alpha, which would be me!
My dogs are NEVER outside without me being right beside them in case I need to pick them up. |
