Found a great pet carrier at Dillards
 

I found a great carrier at dillards in the hadbag department a couple of days ago. It is all leather and it is made by Preston & York which I think is a dillards brand. The origianl price is 150.00, but they have it on sale for 99.99. This past weekend they had a sale going 50% off of the sale price, so I was glad to get it for $50.00. That sale was only for Saturday and Sunday, but they may mark then down again. It came in pink, yellow, green and orange. I got the yellow one which is more of a bucksin yellow than a bright yellow. My dillards was out of the pink which is the one my daughter wanted, so I just went to dillards.com and pulled up all of the stores with their phone numbers and called around to find the pink one and ordered it over the phone. They don't have it online though. The bag is great. I took Lizzy to a basketbell game in it tonight and I had so many people ask me where I got it. It measures about 1.5' long and about 1' high.

Cute. I wish we had a Dillards here. But I guess I can't complain because we do have Field's! :) I want a bright Kelley green or royal blue leather bag for Stewie.

They actually have this in a beautiful green leather. Even if you don't have a dillards in your town, you can always order over the phone from any of their stores. I was at my dillards yesterday and they had only 1 left and it was the green one. If you would like to call them and order it, their phone number is (409)899-9800. Was the basketball game a high school, college or what?? I haven't had the nerve to take Bo to public places much because I don't really know who is pet friendly and who isn't. I LOVE the carrier. Thanks for the tip!! :thumbup:

It was a high school game. No one seemed to mind, although I did attempt to be discreet. I also took her to Target in the bag. I know that Target is not know for allowing that, but the trick I used worked great. I just got a buggy out of the parking lot and sat the bag down in it before I ever went in the store. She went totaly undetected until I got to the check out counter. The clerk ask if there was a dog inside the bag and then she started telling me about her puppy, so everything was fine.

OMG that is so cute! Do they have different sizes or is there just one measurement?

That's a great carrier! :thumbup: I wanted that one for myself too when I was at Dillards.
I used to work at Dillard's but quit about a month ago. They got those in around Christmas time but they never put it out for everyone to see so they didn't sell often. But here's a story for you.
Did you happen to see the Nine West dog carrier as well? It was featured on Oprah as one of the best dog carriers around and when I saw about 4-5 laying in the stock room I decided to bring em out since I thought they would sell. Well, one lady came in and was looking for that and I showed her the dog bags. They are really cute. It comes in turquoise, pink and orange. The lady thought she would be paying full price on it which is $98.00, but for some reason, it rang up around $20.00!! She was so shocked, she bought two. There were about 3 left and I decided to go hide a turquoise one "just in case" I decided to get a dog. (I wasn't planning on getting a doggy last year) At the time, they were having an extra 25% off so with my 25% discount on top of that, plus the bag being $20.00 something odd dollars, I got the bag for $13.00 and that was with tax! Noone knew they were that cheap because Dillard's never marked them and when I asked my supervisor about it, she said that's not possible because they buy those bags in for $32.00 and they would never sell below cost!
I felt like I found a treasure! It was awesome. :p

It was the only size they had, but the sales clerk did tell me they were going to get in some more styles but she wasn't sure about size and price.

VERY cute! But...those straps KILL your shoulder if you have a 7+ pound Yorkie. I had one similar to that but had to return it.

At least the Dillard one has short handles so you'll be forced to carry it briefcase style. It will save your back.

The picture is kind of small. The inside has a little pillow for the dog, and theres mesh windows on both sides that they can look out of. The top zips open all the way and flaps over and the handles are adjustable. You can put it over your shoulder or you could carry it around your arm. It's real cute! Especially for 13 bucks. But my first choice was the carrier you had. At the time, $150.00 was way too much for me! I ended up having the Nine West one and a Louis Vuitton one my boyfriend bought for me. :p

I never actually bought one...Mojo is a bigger yorkie so it will be heavy and he doesn;t like to be carries, he likes to get down and dirty on the floor.

I really liked the cranberry bag tho...it has short straps.

Babbie, How big is Mojo?

He is 7lbs and a half....so my back can;t support his "chubby" self...hahahaha Plus i always raised him to be on the floor (i try my best to not be too overprotective) so i don;t think he would like a carrier...:D

Guys, these carriers are just TOO fun. I'm such a handbag freak, I'm always is the market for something different. I called my sister who had a Dillards in her town and she is gonna check for me. I watched a couple on ebay last month, Juicy Couture, really cute. They went for around $120, which is more than I wanted to pay. Natalie, I can't believe you got that for $13!!! What a coup! :bravo:

Just looked on ebay and saw that someone has listed 3 of the Dillards pet carriers. I believe there was a yellow, green and orange. Just wanted to pass that along.
I found them under "leather pet carrier".

I just bought one on ebay. It was not dillards though.

Staci- I just got the exact same bag in blue!!! I love it, but it's become more of a "diaper bag" than a carrier because Linus refuses to be in it! I think it's great...and cheap!
