Is your yorkie a suck up? I always thought when a dog got in trouble it would put its' tail between its' legs & go hide some where. Well, when Ms. Naughty gets in trouble (1,000 X's/day;)) she runs to me! She jumps on my lap & gives me tons of kisses. Of course she suckers me in every time! Her tail wags, ears perk up even more, I just don't get it. Once in a while she'll wait for her alternate..a treat, chew, toy, etc. Of course I don't want her to be miserable & when she does get in trouble I probably talk to her the way a nice teacher would talk to a child.:p How do your babies act when they get busted shredding some paper or flinging stuff off the coffee table so they can play with it?:D |
Yes! Thank you for this, I'm not alone. Princess Tess "Monster" is the same way... well we had the 'snach & run to the back yard game...and... unless she knows I'm really mad (like when she killed my Chanel boots & Nolo stilettos-not as bad as the 30 pairs of thong shoes he eats only the one of the pair) anywho, then she runs to her bed (box) like it's BASE! and wags her nubbin' sits pretty |
If Bogie knows I am upset, he runs and gets into one of his beds and kind of hunkers down, I think that he thinks I can't see him if he makes himself as small as he can. Jada is totally different, if she gets in trouble she gives me the stink eye.:D |
Pixie does this as well plus she looks at you with her little bottom lip quivering like a kid. Melts me everytime |
Millie either sits there with her ears down with all her fur fluffed up (probably thinking to herself, "if i sit here looking as cute as can be and like a teddy bear mummy wont suspect ive done anything!") and she just stares at me OR If she knows shes done something really bad like pee on on the carpet she goes in her bed with ears down and fur fluffed up and when i say "what have you been up too?" she turns onto her back and shows me her belly as if to say "go on mummy you know you cant resist giving me belly kisses!" But shes just soooooo cute she could get away with murder as she always looks like butter wouldnt melt! haha clever little dogs!! :aimeeyork |
Max put his ears back and crawls over to me on his belly, Abby looks at me as if to say "what" and walks off. They are still babies so I look forward to seeing how their little personalities develop. Poppy used to slink behind the couch and then crawl out a few minutes later and onto my lap and give me snuggles and kisses. Or, if I picked her up, she would put her head in my neck and snuggle. Hard to be mad at moments like that. |
He is a suck up! He rarely gets in trouble, he's spoiled rotten, everything he does is perfect ;) LOL... yeah right. No but he's a huge suck up in other ways too. Food begging he has mastered that art. He KNOWS that sitting with his head rested on my leg staring up at me with the cutest eyes will always do the trick. |
Oh not Rosie. She gets mad! ;) Just like a kid. Lol. She will jump down to the floor, lay on her blanket, and turn her back to me. If I call her, she ignores me. This goes on until I pick her up and "suck up" to her. :D She is spoiled rotten with an attitude! :) |

Our first, Cricket, used to run and sit on mommy's lap if she thought she was in trouble. :p |
Oh, Tibbe is a total suck up, coming to me all kissy and squirming and loving and butter wouldn't melt in his mouth as I mouth about something wrong he's done, and he comes right up to me, paws on legs, ears back, pawing me, wanting me to take him up and love him and when I do, we kiss and nuzzle and hug, and as soon as I say something like "Well, that's okay" or "Well, you didn't really mean to do that", BOOM! - he's off and running and doing his own thing again!!! His acting sorry is so shallow and transparent and meaningless - only intended to stop me from scowling or fuming - and the minute he's successful, he off, resuming his regular play or nap or whatever. He's so artless in his attempts to sway any ill feeling I might ever have for anything wrong he's done. He can't sustain his "act" for a second longer than necessary. I don't think he means it or is really sorry when he acts up or does something rotten(like strewing chewed tissue all over the den floor)but he knows that sucking up/acting like he's sorry works every single time! (I don't think Tibbe thinks anything he does is really wrong so he's not really sorry but he knows he needs to stop mommie yapping at him.) I CANNOT ever stay angry or miffed at that dog for anything he does. He's so happy and in love with life, he doesn't have too much time to woo me from being upset with him - just enough to get the response he wants and then, whoosh, he's off having happy times again! Who can resist him?!?! I'm his total patsy! And after all, what is so bad about picking up tissue from all over the den floor - it's good exercise! |
Remy really has not been in trouble.. she has done poopoos in the house. I say bad girl, she wags her tail. But Bailey will run and hide with his tail tucked between his legs. |
Well, Levi's never gotten in trouble because he is a perfect angel...:p but he IS a total suck up! He can totally ignore me for awhile, and then glance over and realize I have a snack, or I'm using the good blanket, or I'm sitting next to a good toy...and then he will prance over and be the sweetest, cutest, cuddliest boy ever. The second he gets what he wants - POOF! - he is gone again. |
