So I have exciting news! We're adding a new little baby to our family in July!!! :D:D

luckylady's little April (now named Harlie Dee) will be my mum's new little baby come July! Rylie will have a little sister to run and play with, while mum and I will have a new little baby to spoil! :love: She's just the most precious little Biewer ever and we are super excited to have her join our family.

This addition was completely unplanned as we were waiting for Rylie's breeder to have another litter with a baby girl, but I saw little Harlie's picture and showed my mum... we were both smitten. This little girl was just meant to be ours. We knew it as soon as she melted our hearts :love: There was just something special about her. We were left unfazed by many puppy pictures and ads and content to wait... However, when we saw April that all changed.

Anyone have any tips on introducing the 2 pups? I've done some preliminary research, but I'm open to any advice anyone can give! :)

Congradulations on your new addition. I can tell you are excited. Biewers adapt very well to the other dogs in your home. So it depends on how Rylie is with other dogs. Has she been around other dogs or is she used to being the only dog? Has she been to doggie daycare or anywhere she mixes and mingles with others? This will make the transition easier. Plan on keeping the two supervised and introduce them slowly and lovingly and it will be successful.

She's adorable! You're lucky to be getting her for sure. I have the same question about introducing pups/dogs, so I can't help you there, but I just wanted to compliment her! :D

Thank you! We are very excited. My mum is asking me to see her picture again every time she walks by me on my computer. I've just made it my desktop background to save time lol :D

Rylie has been around other dogs (I made sure of that). She seemed hesitant of the ones IN our house and always ran to me like she was a little scared. When we go on walks she's very good with other dogs. She does not bark and is not aggressive. However, she is generally happy to see them and her little tail wags (even bigger dogs). She seems to be pretty submissive from what I can tell, which doesn't mean a whole lot since I'm not a behaviorist. :p

She has never been to doggie daycare as there is no need since someone is pretty much always home.

I have heard that you should take your old pup out for an hour or so and bring the new one in to romp around and then bring the other one home and it somehow eases the transition, is this true?

Awww thank you! :love: Harlie's face reminds me of Rylie's in some ways. They're both so sweet.

I know! We feel very blessed. I'm pretty sure that we've fallen in love already and will only fall deeper once she's home! :love:

Awww thank you! :love: Harlie's face reminds me of Rylie's in some ways. They're both so sweet.
I hope to eventually. I don't even have a yorkie, just Coco the Cocker/poodle mix. I do want a Yorkie and Coco isn't the fondest of other dogs, the only dogs she seems to semi-like are dogs smaller than her. (and a yorkie is:) )

To be fair, my sis' cat didn't like other cats/animals either, but now my sis has 2 more. Asia just had to deal and adjust. Granted cats are a bit different than dogs. :p

You will definitely see pictures! LOL Rose has already informed me what a pictureholic she is. If I denied her photos, I think she might come and seize her back! ;):D

I agree with DEE! Biewers are so easy to get along with other smaller dogs. My biewer Chelsea is not afraid of dogs her size but if she see's a big dog, she will get nervous.

Enjoy your new baby. They are so worth it.

Oh my goodness Sara, shame on me for just seeing this thread now.:eek:

I am so pleased that April (Harlie) will be going to live with you and your mum and I love that she will have Rylie to play with. It does my heart good knowing that you will love her as I do and will give her the loving forever home that she deserves. Also, since all of my puppies are still "family" even after they leave, it is good to know that I, and our YT family will be able to watch her grow into the beautiful adult I just know she will be.

It won't be too much longer now before she is "home" with you & your mum.

We are so happy and honored that you let her become part of our family! She will be smothered with love and happy the rest of her days. :) You will all definitely get to stay updated. I'm sure she'll only get more gorgeous with age. :love:
