Is paper fairly digestable? I had a snack on a paper plate & let Princess have the crumbs. I was engrossed in the movie I was watching I guess & heard her tear the plate but I thought she was just doing that so I didn't act on it right then. Well I look down as she's tearing it some more to get it and stop her. There are two strips, both about 1.5" X 4" and they're gone! They're not the coated plates or anything...I'm just assuming these will pass...? |
lol, she was hungry, mama. Some paper is more digestible than others. I'd give the vet's office a quick call to see what they think (before they close for the weekend). When pups ingest things they shouldn't and it's something that inducing vomiting can't be used for, the advice is small meals every 4-6 hours (not 4-6 regular sized meals - make sure they are smaller) and vomiting = vet visit immediately. Always check with the vet when something like this happens though. |
Thanks, sorry it took so long for me to get back on here. I had to go unexpectedly & left Princess with my teen for observation, she's been fine so far, nothing out of the ordinary. I can't believe she ate that! Guess she reallly wants to try those pizza rolls, lol. I will make a mental note that I contact the vet as a precaution in the future. I was going to call them but figured they'd say "Ms. Munchausen is on line 2." lol. |
Mine have eaten smaller pieces of paper plates and didn't have any problems. I hope Princess does fine after her little "snack". |
