Logans first trip to the vet with his big sister Lily Today Logan went to meet our vet for the first time to get his puppy check up and his first course of injections:D and his big sister Lily was having her year check and her booster. Lily did very well she passed with flying colours got her booster and microchip with not so much of a whimper. She got weighed and is now a whopping 11.5lb at 16months vet seems to think thats her fully grown as she has hovered between 11-12lb for past few months :D Logan got his first injection and cried straight away until i lifted him he is such a mummys boy. He also got weighed and the vet thought he was tiny but at 2.3lb for just over 9 weeks i think isnt too bad :D He goes back to the vet in 3 weeks for his last injection and the vet said we can either microchip him then or wait till he is 6months. I will decide on what to do when i see what sort of size he is in 3 weeks time as for now he is a bit small for that microchip needle:eek: Both Lily and Logan are sleeping of there vets visit and hopefully neither will be too effected by their injections. yvonne xxx |
It sounds like they both did well! You need to post some photos of them together as they are such different sizes. Must be adorable!:p |
Mine went to the vet today for their shots - 2nd for Abby and 3rd for Max - and to get their tallons, er, I mean baby nails trimmed. Abby did not mind any of it - she just wanted to give everyone kisses. Max froze and whimpered, then threw up on the way home - a little too stressful of a day for him. Mine have been sleeping and snuggling since we got home. Have not done the microchip yet - wanted to wait until mine get a little larger also. Max weighted in at 3.9 and Abby was a whopping 2.4. I have never had Yorkies this small before - like all Yorkies, they have no clue they are small. |
Going to the vet is so scary. Scooter just trembles all over. |
4 Attachment(s) Lily has been fine since vet visit but logan has been off his food a little started last night he ate no supper then no breakfast at dinner he ate 2 grams and then supper he has eaten 8grams shall see how he is tomorrow if still off food shall see what vet suggests. Other than being off his food he is still running around playing and having great fun :D As requested ive uploaded some pictures of our furbabies:D The first is a picture of me introducing Logan to our two gilrs jasmine and Lily:thumbup: The next is a picture of lily relaxing and Logan resting on her hehe the next is one of Lily and Logan playing which they do all day all the time near enough and the last picture is of my husband laying with Logan and Lily coming to investigate:D We love all our furbabies from little to large:D yvonne xx |
i love the pictures. its so funny its lfurbabies of all sizes!!! lol when my baby went to the vet he was ok but he is so scared of people that he dont know but if he dont know u and u have a fur baby he is so nice (weird lol) |
Strange how the vet's office effects a lot of furbabies i wonder do they pick up on the owners anxiety or is it just that they know that it isnt going to be any fun:D My two girls dont mind going to the vet and are never frightened but our older girl who we lost at the start of the year used to be terrified. She was a golden lab and my husband used to have to carry her in to the vets and carry her around while we were in there. Whether she had a bad experience before we got her or if it was just because she was a timid dog im not sure but we avoided the vets with her as much as possible :animal-pa Not sure how Logan will be at vets as he has only been the once but hopefully he comes to love going or at least not mind going :D yvonne xx |
Loved the Pictures! Bella is okay at the vet. She stays in her carrier until we take her out, door open, but she stays inside. She is cooperative and quiet, but you can tell she is apprehensive. She is always happy when we walk OUT the door. |
