my dog ate a TEA BAG! Okay, gang... my crafty Gia figured out how to jump up on the coffee table and she ATE the pyramid "teabag" that I was using this morning - - leaves and all?! It's decaf. tea, but still, I'm concerned about the BAG part? Anyone had this happen? This is a NEW "crisis" for me. (oh, this little girl of mine.... so much joy... but so much worry, too!) :) Thanks! |
Bella Ate My Earplugs! Hi There, Oh i know the worry. Bella ate both of my soft foam earplugs. Vet said to watch her, if no symptoms, she'd be okay. She eventually threw one up and passed the other. I think the tea bag will probably go through just fine. Call the vet just to be sure. It was a long 48 hours for us. But she is fine. Good luck, I'll be sending positive thoughts. |
I think there will be no problem with that. Keep an eye on her. |
was the tag still on? my only concern would be if there was a little staple holding the string and tag to the bag' |
Call the vet and ask if watching her at home is sufficient. If the string was still attached, you may have a problem. Tea bags are big, so if she swallowed it in one piece, string and all, I'd be very concerned. |
Aren't most pyramid bags mesh? |
It's a pyramid tea bag, so there wasn't a string, tag or staple (thank goodness!) She ripped open the bag and ate the leaves and half of the bag (I found the other half under her useful pillow - which she cleverly scooted to the coffee table to give her enough height to jump up.... Yorkies are so bright, but sometimes that intelligence level can be a curse! LOL Thanks everyone for the insight. She seems fine, but I'll keep an eye on her for sure. (She also managed to eat my turkey bacon... we're gonna have to have a mommy-daughter chat about "property" - - yes yes, I can hear the experienced puppy moms out there LAUGHING at that comment, knowing who is going to "win" that conversation!) :) |
Ohhhh Nooooo.... Lil Stinker!! =) She should be okay..... Just keep an eye on her. Give her tummy rubs from Me & Riley!! =) |
