A few weeks ago, in the early morning, I was supervising Norman and our Wheaten Terrier in the backyard. The Wheaten 'froze' and a coyote strolled along the back property line. Norman saw the danger and slowly backed up behind the deck steps, never taking his eyes off the coyote. The coyote wasn't interested and kept going but it was a good reminder about supervision. BTW, we live in a large town - not in a rural area... |
Chachi and Jewels go out in the front yard but not the back. We have a fence in our front yard. The back yard has a 3 ft pond so they are only out with us back there |
my dog is only allowed in our yard where our pool is fenced in, we put chicken wire on the outside of our fence so that she can't squeeze through the openings. She is rarely out there alone though & if she goes out anywhere else it's with her harness & leash & her human =) |
