Uni meets a 4 wk old pit bull puppy...
 
Uni has her shots utd, she's gonna be fine right? You can't get worms or anything by just being around a puppy? I've never been around a puppy so young, so just making sure. Hope I don't make myself sound like an idiot.

Anyway, the pittie pup is already bigger and heavier than Uni lol. She has new puppy smell. I was holding the puppy and Uni was kind of trotting around me and sniffing.

It is safe for Uni because she's UTD on shots. No worries. As for worms, she would have to be around the puppy's feces if it has worms.

Was the puppy at the dog park or something? I really don't think the owner should be taking a pup that young out to anywhere...

No, it's a customer of mine, his pittie and the neighbor's pittie, well do I even have to finish the sentence? :rolleyes: Anyway, he brought her in to my shop so I could see her and he wanted to compare her size to Uni. He said 4wks and 4 years, the same size. LOL! We were not at the dog park.

Wouldn't worry about it. Ellie is around who knows what all the time and she is fine.

Here though, we do heartworm preventative (may be N/A in Cali) that covers some intestinal parasites. She could potentially pick up worms if sniffing feces or even other parasites like giardia and coccidea. But still there is no reason to worry as long as she gets fecals regularly and sees the vet when having persistent diarrhea and/or vomiting.

I love pitties. :) Where are the pics???

I was gonna take pics, and then I wondered, would YT approve of this? LOL and I wasn't sure, so I came on here. Maybe if he comes around again before the puppy gets too big to play with Uni I will take some pics.

I'm glad to hear that he didn't take her to the dog park! :) I love pit bulls!! I wish I can get one! My bf says NO since Emma is so small. Pitties are great dogs though! It makes me sad how their are represented. I would love to see pix too! LOL 4 years old still smaller than a 4 weeks old. Maybe if he compare day one to Uni then they will be the same size! :p
