1 Attachment(s) The heaviness and loudness of clippers take some getting used to. The first try can always be a little embarassing but remember it's just hair. It will grow back. I just did my first groom on Troy and this was the result. I wanted a modified schnauzer cut. I saw the flaws of nicks, uneveness, choppy lines but ultimately I think he turned out okay for my first time. Hang in there. I purchased economy clippers for $30 from Walmart. His regular groom at the salon was $65 every 6 weeks. If I used the mobile groomer it was $100 every 6 weeks. Think of the savings and the reduction of stress on your little one. |
If you think he's really bad you could look to see if there is a mobile groomer in your area. In our town there are a few options where you can book an appt and the groomer comes ina van and does the gromming in the van. They are fully equipped to bathe, dry and grrom right in your driveway. I'm attempting a first groom in the very near future...I agreee with some of the other comments - how bad could it be? |
I just got my Yorkie Benny two months ago and I have been trimming his hair with small scissors and a pair of thinning scissors. He is getting better at holding still but there are certain times when he starts wiggling like crazy and I have to stop. Any thoughts on how I should trim the hair on his muzzle? Do I keep it short or let it grow out? |
