Rosie sleeps a lot. But she lets us know when she wants to play. We will run her until she tires out. Then back in the cloud 9 bed she goes!! |
yeah bella is constantly playing with her toys, she just wont leave people along she will put a toy next to you and just keep looking at you till you throw it haha  |
Rosie likes to play fetch a lot. But her favorite is chase! She will want me to chase her around the house. Of course, I happy to give in to her!! :D After a good round, she is exhausted!! |

My Bella is definitely not a sleeper. She only drops long enough to re-charge! I guess they are like people....some are like me and some are active:p |
Levi is totally not a sleeper. He naps occasionally, and I'm pretty sure he sleeps when he is left alone, but he stays a busy little bee all day long. |
It really depends. I mean, Jackson's nickname is Action Jackson, and he definitely is an active guy. Sometimes, on hotter days, he does not do well in the heat. Today it was like 85 and humid and the sun was shining pretty brightly and he was pulling back towards the car after about 30 minutes of walking. In the cooler weather, he can walk for 2-3hrs and be fine and ready to go play some more afterwards. Now, when we visit my dads house, I feel like he's constantly on the go. It's either swimming/diving in the pool, running around with the other dogs, going for walks, chasing four wheelers (behind a fence), go go go. At our regular house, he's a bit more willing to sleep a lot of the day away but still needs a lot of attention. |
I think the amount of energy a dog has depends on it's owner. If I'm very busy working, my dogs can easily sleep all day long. But if I'm actively engaging them in play they would probably play all day long. It's typical for my boys to sleep a large part of the afternoon but play all evening until bedtime. |

Brit have you thought about buying a "cool coat" for Jackson. I just bought one for Razzle; although I haven't used it yet; I might have to tomorrow if it gets as hot and sticky as forecasted. Show folks use them a lot particularly with the smooth/short coated dogs. I found they didn't do too well with my furry beasties, so I use it for Magic to stand on (when he was actively showing) and it helped a lot to keep him cool on those scorching summer days.
