Hallie wants to be pretty and girlie! Ok I'm giving in, I want Hallie to have a cute little ponytail but I have never put anything in her hair and she's almost 4! She loves to let me play with her hair and she loves to be brushed so I'm not sure how she will react. But here's my question, how do I do it? |
You pull it up from the inside corners of the eyes and about 1/2 way between her ears. Use a tiny little rubber band (like the ones they use for braces) and secure it. Not too tight, or Hallie will look Chinese! Whereas I think Chinese women are BEAUTIFUL the look doesn't cross over well to Yorkies. Anyway, don't make it too tight is my point. Then you can either put a bow on that has another rubberband attached to it, or a tiny barrette underneath the 1st rubber band. When you take it out, you may have to cut the rubberband so it doesn't pull her hair. Oh Dod Hawwie Ann! You're donna be bootiful, but dat hair tombing and ponytaiwing sucks! Wuv, Wexy :p |
I can't add to that post and I sure can't wait to see her !! Sometimes - scrunchies are the easiest thing....you can practice with them because they come out the best - no rubber or laytex to pull her hair - then, when you feel good about a real bow - go for it....good luck !! |
My favorite Topknot site Here is a link to my favorite topknot site.http://www.purepaws.net/Top_Knots_fi...#slide0001.htm Can't wait to see the pictures of how it turns out! :p |
Once you get the topknot figured out you shouod buy some cute fun bows. Snow yorkies sells little and larger bows with things on them like snow flakes and gingerbread men. I just bought a bunch of cute bows from her. |
Ok, I'm really trying! I spent an hour this morning talking to Hallie about how pretty she will look with a ponytail and then attempting to rubberband her hair! Let's just say I'm so glad I ordered clips and barrettes last night ;) I finally got one in and Simon drug her around by her ponytail! Needless to say it didn't last long! ;) |
