WTHeck is Going On??? Long story short, Maddie had paratid duct transposition surgery June 2nd. She is recovering beautifully and had no major complications with the surgery. She is wearing a cone which we get off next Wed. (yay!) This cone makes for an aggrivating night for her. She is not able to get comfortable and I find her rubbing her little cone-head all over me. I am 17 weeks pregnant and I am flip-flopping from side to side anyway at night. With her all over the bed, scraping me with the cone, I am getting almost zero sleep. So, the other night, I literally made her 3 comfy beds in the living room and opened the spare room bedroom for her. DH and I had to get some sleep. She peed right outside the door and pooped in the living room!!! THIS IS NOT HER. Next night, DH took the spare room, Maddie and I took the bed. Another night of restless tossing and turning for us both BUT she did had no potty "accidents". Last night, DH and I ended up in spare room leaving Maddie in OUR bed. She came to door whined a minute then left. I found a nice puddle of PEE in OUR bed this morning. What is she doing? Is this a doggy tantrum? |
It's probably separation anxiety. Can you crate her? Contrary to popular opinion, spite isn't really a doggie emotion. |

I can try crating her but she has not been in a crate in maybe 3 years. I don't know how she will handle that. I tried making her a bed in our room last night on the bench, where she commonly naps, but no luck. Suck it up and try to make it to Wed. I guess.:) |
Or gate her in an area where she can leave you gifts. lol Unless the staff carries her around all day when she is hospitalized, she would have been in a crate. |

If she doesnt like the crate, can you make her a bed in a bathroom or something where the mess is easier to clean? |
