Sassy is being spayed today 1 Attachment(s) Hi everyone, my little girl Sassy is being spayed today. Even though I have been through this and love and trust my vet I am still sad that I have to leave her. She is mama's girl and the baby of the four. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. I couldn't take care of my babies without the help from everyone at YT. |
Just went through that with Samantha yesterday and know exactly how you feel. It's for the best, but it's so hard to hand them over and leave. One of the techs wanted to take Samantha, but I held her until the vet came out and took her right to surgery. Keeping you and your baby in my thoughts and prayers. Jeanette |
Good luck with the recovery and all. I have to go through this with Annabelle on Tuesday I swear she knows somethinng is up because she is being a handful right now and this is not normal for her. Fingers are crossed that everything goes ok for Sassy |

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers. I brought Sassy home at 6:00 tonight. Her blood work was normal and the spay went great. She doesn't seem to be in much pain but just can't get comfortable in one place. The other dogs have growled and barked at her and she growled back. You would think I brought a new dog home. They are starting to get adjusted. She gained 1/2 lb in 6 months so she is up to 6 1/2 lbs. I don't think she will ever make it into the Teapot Club except as an honorary cheerleader. |
So glad that she is ok. I hope that you both will get a good nights sleep. Mybe she smells funny to the other dogs after being at the vet and having surgery. |
Sassy had a great night she just wimpered a little. She had a little breakfast and water. I am going to give her pain meds so she will be comfortable today. The other dogs have adjusted to her new smell and her bandage. I slept on the couch with her last night so she wouldn't be alone. Of course we had lots of company. |
