I also have this for Kizzie and I too LOVE it! We used it in a hotel and it was perfect, I take it with me everywhere, to the office, to BBQ's when I need to keep her out from under people's feet.. (her nick name is Kizzie Underfoot lol) around the house when I'm too busy to keep an eye on what she's getting into! I bought a size medium from ebay because I wanted her to have lots of room to play and run around.. She tried chewing the zipper once but I sprayed the bitter yuck stuff on it and she hasn't done it again.. Folds up very easily, if you've ever had one of those kids pop up tents or seen them it's made very similarly, just pops open and folds down. (took me a few tries to realize how to get it to fold down so it lays flat, but once I figured it out it's easy.. 2 minutes and her play area, and everything she needs is all packed into the travel case! The travel case has just enough room in it for me to keep a pee pad, bowls and a couple toys tucked inside as well without straining the seams or anything. |

Here's what I do.. fold it completely in half, pull the bottom out so it's not folded inside between the walls. Then start at one end and fold in a Z pattern.. if you do it this way it lays flat.. When you are done just fold over the bottom canvas and it fits easily in the case. I know when I got it the bottom was tucked in nicely, but for some reason for me I can't get it to lay flat if the bottom is folded up in between the walls, it's just too hard to get the bottom to lay perfectly flat and in the right spot as I folded it.. Took me several tries to figure it out.. I kept trying to just start folding one panel at a time and it wouldn't lay flat, I was afraid I'd ruin it by trying to force it to lay flat and put it in the case.. finally I folded it in half to just get it out of the way, and then later went back and folded it again from there and realized it worked perfectly.. |

Ours has a detachable bottom piece, I love it! It's big enough for 2 or 3 even and I can throw the bottom piece in the washer and run it through a cycle if they get too messy. The mesh top is great because Allie likes to jump. Ours is bigger, but would definitely fit in a suitcase. I paid 41.00 on eBay, free shipping NEW PINK 45" PET PUPPY DOG PLAYPEN EXERCISE PEN KENNEL - eBay (item 160616863354 end time Jul-11-11 13:07:09 PDT) |

We have a couple of these too (two sizes). They are great for road trips and we used them a lot when they were babies and after their surgery. My little escape artist, Ivan, figured out how to get his paw in the zipper and open the door. We have to close off the zippers with twist ties now. He hasn't figured out how to untwist them...yet. ;) We also had a pop-up crate for travel that was made of the same material. He chewed through the mesh in that so we don't leave them alone for long in the pens in case he decided to try that again. |

I was trying to find the picture to post of the disaster he created when he escaped from the pen but I can't find it. He got out of the pen by chewing a hole in the mesh and then wedged his paw through the zipper because the hole in the mesh wasn't quite big enough. While he was out, he got into the waste basket and shredded every last tissue in there and spread the little bits all over the room. All of this while his sister, Iris, must have been trying to get out of her own pen to join in the mayhem. We found her, still in her pen, several feet away from where we'd left her. It was one of the funniest things they've ever done. |

Actually, now that I see the picture, I remember that this was the first time he escaped when he just opened the zipper with his paw and let himself out. We used the twist ties after that, one more time, and that's when he ripped through the mesh and wiggled out through the zipper somehow. I think he was able to squeeze out because the crate was so flexible. Did I mention that he had a cone on his head at the time because this was right after their spay/neuter? Clearly, we don't completely trust the pens because of this, but I think they are made a bit better than these pop up crates that he escaped from. |
