Anyone else have a jealous yorkie?
 
Everytime me and the girlfriend go to kiss or hug or anything, Lulu HAS to come give kisses or hugs too... and if she cant make it on the couch or wherever we are, she jumps and gives a little growl till we pick her up and give her kisses and hugs. I dont know if this is a bad habit or not, but its so funny.. ill make pretend kissing sounds and she will react in the same way. i dont know if its jealousy, or her being nosy, but it cracks me up each time :D

I've had two yorkie girls and both of them would get jealous if he would hug me, kiss me - they would try to get his attention so he would pet them. They never growled, I'm not sure if that is becoming a problem. :rolleyes:

Not growling like mad... like under her breath, trying to get our attention.. not in a bad way at all

Chlow my little one is SUPER jelous of anyone (human or animal) that tries to cuddle or seat in my lap... she will start jumping and barking and growling... BIG time. is super cute i love it! is like she is saying "She is MY mommy get away!!" :D

Like she's just trying to talk? My Cricket would seem like she was trying to make words at times. I've have heard from others I know w yorkie girls that they are jealous. I've only had two, but they have been jealous girls at times.

Kaji is the jealous type. If BF and I are hugging or kissing, Kaji wants to be in the middle of the action. Not because he's jealous, I think it's more because he wants to join the love fest. :rolleyes: But when it comes to other dogs or kids getting mommy's attention, Kaji gets very jealous. My dad and I were going nuts over a picture of Kaji in his Halloween costume. Kaji came running from the other room and demanded to be picked up into our laps so we could ooh and ahh over him instead. He's such a funny pup!

Lol pnut sounds just like LuLu!! He does the same thing! Even whn dh and I are laying with eachother he will have to come squeeze in between us, or pnut could be laying in his bed and i will go hug dh or lay on him and pnut will run over and come get in between us!!

Yup! thats Lulu, we cant even lay next to each other when we go to sleep... she HAS to sleep in the middle ... and if we dont let her, ill wake up in the middle of the night and she will be in between us, spread out...

My aunt had a jealous poodle. None of us could hug and kiss my aunt hello or goodbye. So my uncle would have to cover the dog's eyes with his hand so we could kiss my aunt if not the poodle would nip at your legs!!

Marcie sounds like miss Lulu. If I didn't know any better I would swear her eyes were green.

Thats cute!! I think it is just them wanting to be loved and in the mix! I wouldn't say it was being jealous.

The only time Pnut acts jealous is when I am at my brothers house ( he has a boxer) if Pnut is on my lap and Leo comes to me and wants me to pet him, Pnu't will snap at him LoL and do a little bark! When they are on the ground they are fine, as soon as Pnut is on me thats when he gets a little jealous! :rolleyes:

Bear likes to do that, too....he chatters like he is trying to talk.....we then call for a group hug and he gets in the middle, kissing us like crazy. It is soooooooo cute.

Princess is very jealous as well. Sometimes if she's not paying attention to me when I'm trying to get her to I will "baby talk" one of her toys, then she comes flying, lol.
