1 Attachment(s) Please keep our little Samantha in your prayers tomorrow as she goes in to be spayed. My vet will take excellent care of her and I think she will be fine, but I will be close by and waiting anxiously to hear that it's over and Sammy is fine. If all goes well, I will probably bring her home late tomorrow afternoon. She's in good health and will have blood work first to be sure. I just hate it that she has to go through something she can't understand. Snapped this cute picture of Samantha with her favorite big orange ball this morning. She's my sweetie. Jeanette |
Praying everything goes well with the spay and that you can find her a loving home, hopefully someone from YT. My husband has asthma so I can relate, fortunately his is under control, his Advair disk has saved his life. We have 4 Yorkies and they don't have any effect on him which is a blessing since he loves them so much. I can relate to the 14 year old also, my brother got divorced several years ago and his daughter lived with her mom. She found a kitten that she really wanted, it was a stray. She talked her dad into keeping it for her, mom said no, so now she is 18 and my brother is stuck with the cat. Daughter is off to college. |
Sending prayers and hugs for Sammy. I know she will be fine! :) |

Samantha is adorable- I am so glad you are having her spayed before placing her in a new home. You could always contact a rescue organization and see if they have anyone looking to adopt. Many times rescues (especially ones for small purebred dogs) have long waiting lists of people looking for a young, healthy dog. They might be willing to match you up with someone. Good Luck finding her a great home. |
One of my co-workers works with a rescue group and has had a lot of luck placing the Yorkies she has fostered. One of the first ones she had, Rosco, she still has - he is great with dogs of all size now. The rescue group has adoptive parents checked out to make sure it is a good forever home for each baby they place. They have a full-return policy. If for any reason the placement does not work out, they will take them back and look for a new forever home. The foster parents usually have a few dogs at the house to help socialize with other dogs. It is a great alternative when you cannot keep a dog. Good luck with everything. |

Please give us an update on how Sammy does with her spay! Praying all goes well!! |
thinking of Sammy today! Hope all goes well!! |
I think Samantha is adorable and just about the perfect size. Her coloration is very much like my Bella. I really hope you can find just the perfect home for her so that she never has to go through another change. Best wishes to everyone.:aimeeyork |
Samantha came through her spay surgery just fine and she is back home now. I picked her up about 30 minutes ago and she is all settled in her crate on her big, soft blanket. She has a very neat little incision that looks fine and she is napping in her crate now. I will let her lay on the couch with me later and will keep an eye on her. Her blood work all looked great and the vet said she is in great health. They fell in love with her at the vet's office, of course. The tech who brought her out to me had her all cuddled up and said "She's the sweetest little thing!" I agree! I'm glad it's over and now she can recover and we'll see what we can do about finding her a great new home where she will get the attention she deserves. She's grandma's little sweetheart. Jeanette |
