Throwing up?
 

I started feeding Freddy Natural Balance on Saturday. I was mixing it in with the wellness food that he had, to make the transition for some time now and he was fine and loved NB more then Wellness.

Well, Friday night ( before i finally switched the food) he suddenly threw up on the floor. It was the first hot day and i thought that it was because it was too hot and humid. So i turned up the AC and gave Freddy some cool water to drink. He drank the water and was fine.

Yesterday night he threw up again right after getting some food ( i free feed him). It was not a hot day so it can't be that he was too hot again. He went back to his bowl after that and got more food... this morning the same thing happened again....I am starting to worry...he eats fine, drinks, plays, wants to go for walks etc...nothing is different. But i don't think it is normal for a dog to throw up food two days in a row....He has thrown up before but it was usually no food but the yellow stuff because he didn't eat anything and was hungry. ( he didn't like wellness! that's why i switched)

Do you guys have any idea what it could be? I tried to research it online but all i could find is that the bag of food might be bad....i would return it if that was the case...

Vomiting can be caused by many things. Could be a little virus or it could be the first sign of something more serious.

How old is he and when did he have his last vet check?

He is 1 year old and was at the vet 4 months ago. Had a check up and got his baby teeth pulled. I need to take him to the vet in 3 months for his yearly check up and shots.

If he throws up again, I would make an appointment with the vet.

You can check the expiration date on the bag of kibble. Make sure you store it in a cool, dry place, sealed tightly.

I would definitely check in with the vet if this continues. Hope he feels better soon.

Sounds like the NB is just not agreeing with your pup. I'd pull it and wait for puking. If it happens on the old food, vet time. After you get things readjusted, maybe try a different kibble.

Ordinarily you can wait out some GI upset when switching foods, but with vomiting, I don't think I'd continue with it.
