Pet friendly Beaches NC? Or SC? Does anyone know of any pet friendly beaches in NC or SC that also have a pet friendly hotel on them? |
I just got back from Myrtle Beach, SC and seen a lot of hotels with "Pet Friendly" on their signs as well as more dogs than every walking the beach & sidewalks with their vacationing owners, it kind of made me wish I would have taken mine! |
When we were at Myrtle Beach (before getting Lulu) we saw lots of doggies walking the beach. I do believe there were certain times where the animals were allowed on the beach, though (early morning & late evening I think). |
I believe I saw them after 6 in the evenings. There are a lot more hotels now, even ones right on the beach, that are posting that they welcome pets. |
When my 135 lb bullmastiff was still alive, we visited Hilton Head and stayed in a hotel with him with no problems. I can't remember the name of the hotel, but I think it would be even eaiser to find one since you don't need an unrestricted weight limit. It's peak season now, so dogs are only allowed on the beach early in the morning and later in the evenings. Here is the link to the rules (scroll to Animals on the Beach section): Hilton Head Beach Ordinances | Shore Beach Patrol Lifeguards ETA: Here's a good place to start for the hotels: http://www.bringfido.com/lodging/cit..._island_sc_us/ |
I visited Coligny Beach in SC (close to Hilton Head) and I saw dogs all over it. This was back in March though non peak season. There was a few others around that I visited too but can't remember the names of the beaches. |
Thanks everyone..i have been using the bringfido website a lot during my search. I would love to go to Myrtle beach...but i do realize they have those time restrictions. We would only be staying 1 day (on our way to Florida) and I'd like to enjoy the beach WITH Pasquale while my husband goes out golfing. |
Dog friendly on FLA I am on East Coast of Florida. Jupiter Beach & Juno Beach are dog friendly year Round, as is the wonderful Jupiter Beach Resort. :D In Palm Beach, the RitzCarlton and Omphoy Hotel are dog friendly, but dogs aren't allowed on the beach. :( Downtown Lake Worth & Delray Beach have many sidewalk cages that allow dogs at the outside searing areas. |
