yet another is my dog a yorkie :) Hi I am new here and have been reading with much enjoyment,I adopted George a year ago from my neighbour who couldn't cope with him.she got him from a high rise flat where his owners are drunks so his background is fairly unknown.he is about 12 pounds in weight and has been clipped short,is he a yorkie do you think?it doesn't matter to me at all I love him to bits but I'm curious.thanks http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/u...dcyd/photo.jpg |
Likely a mix of some sort. There are other black and tan breeds besides yorkies of which he could very well be a combination. For example Australian Terrier, I believe Welsh Terrier is black and tan. Or he could have a short coat breed mixed with another coated breed. Short coat breeds that are black and tan are MinPin and Manchester Terrier. Could even be black and tan Doxie mixed in there. |
He could have some yorkie in there! Hard to tell with his hair clipped so short, lol! But he sure is a cutie-pie!:) |
Thank you for the comments,I love him what ever he is,lol |
he is probably a mix. but he is a handsome guy |
I agree, he might be mixed, but he is very, very cute! |
I don't think he's a purebred Yorkie, but this is a great site for owners of any dog, especially small breeds. You will get a lot of information and support from people on this site. |
3 Attachment(s) I'm not positive, but I think he could be a Yorkie. He sure has beautiful eyes. He looks similar to my Peek a Boo when he was clipped nekked! Just for comparison, this is Peek when I first got him, clipped down: Next growing his coat out: Last, about 5 years later, in full coat: |
He looks mixed to me- but very handsome- glad you are enjoying him :) |
Yorkie come in all shapes/sizes but this one looks to be daschund mix |
awwwww so cute! I think maybe not a full breed yorkie, but so cute none-the-less! Enjoy your baby to pieces! My friend has a Jack Russell Yorkie mix that looks similar to your little guy! |
He's adorable! I think he's a mix, but he sure is a cutie :D |
