Yorkie mullet! So my little Zoie went for her first grooming, and I asked for a puppy cut. Everything looked great when I picked her up except....she looked like she had a mullet! The hair on her forehead was cut very short, and the top/back of her head had much longer hair that pretty much matched the rest of her body. No offense to anyone who likes mullets, but it definitely wasn't the look I was going for. As a new (and clueless) new mommy, I also failed to mention that I wanted to grow the hair on her head out so that I could eventually put in a ponytail. Zoie's hair was so close to being able to sport a ponytail, and now I have to wait for it to grow out again. ugh! Does anyone have any pictures of their babies with a puppy cut, but also a ponytail?? maybe if I bring in pictures the groomer will know what i'm looking for. maybe i need a new groomer. :confuse2: thanks!!!! :D |
I have heard so many horror stories lately, that I ended up buying a couple of grooming books and just trim/scissor Riley up, myself. I want to invest in a good pair of clippers and I still need to get a couple of videos.... but so far, he's really good and lets me do anything I want to him. If you googled Yorkshire Terrier Haircuts and hit Images, a Ton of photos will pop up. :) Good thing is, it will grow back. :) |
thanks! i'll try googling and see what i find. i like the idea of learning how to groom myself. maybe i'll check out some books, too! :) |
Yeah.... I just started trimming Riley up little by little...so he got used to it....... and I am constantly googling yorkie photos and saving the ones i really like into a folder on my desktop. This time I didn't trim him all at once... I did most of his body and a little of his face the other night.... and I just trimmedup his ears, tonight. I pop him by my vet's office to get his nails trimmed. I am way too scared to do that.... but I should probably learn... it costs me $15.00 for a nail trim.... |
