It could have been another dog, or other dogs, that ended up causing the problem and making the manager change their mind. It also could have been the health department getting a call, there are laws against bringing dogs (unless service dogs) into a restaurant or even outside for patio dining. Not everyone is a dog lover unfortunately. I'd talk to the manager and get the scoop, if it is a matter of health inspectors I wouldn't stop going there...the man has to make a living and rules are rules. If it is a matter of customers who are not dog lovers disapproving, I also wouldn't stop going there. If you like the food and the atmosphere continue to support the manager, after all it might be out of his hands. If it is just him changing his mind over something some patron who never comes back said...then I would say make the decision to not go back and explain to him why. |
It is unfortunate but there are people that feel the same way about dogs as they do roaches. Their dogs probably live in the backyard and never see a brush or bath. I was at a store yesterday with Mina, talking to a lady while she admired my baby. Another lady bolted between us,guiding her teenaged daughter by the hand, didnt say much. Just gave me a dirty look, took alot not to bust out laughing. She was agast that I would bring a dog into a public place,Mina was dressed and had a bow in her hair, but the woman couldnt even say "excuse me". There are people that dont understand that your dog is clean and quiet, unlike some of the toddlers that are present. |
