Is this a yorkie?? 1 Attachment(s) Hello!! I got my yorkie last week and we LOVE him to death!!! For just a week with us he's doing awesome..working on the biting and potty business..but he has adjusted great! Once I find the USB cable for my camera I'll post pictures. We named him Snickers. My mom now wants one and I found someone that has a female in her price range. The breeder that I got Snickers from no longer has any pups left. We were told its a silky/yorkie mix. I was told thats shes AKC. Do you think by the picture? It's so hard to find a puppy without being scammed. Thank you!!!! |
I amm def not an expert, but to be honest, the face reminds me of my pomeranian. The color to me is different for a yorkie or silky. You sd your were told akc, do you have the papers showing this? Anyone else? BTW beautiful dog |
She is beautiful but doesn't look like a yorkie or silky to me but I am not sure. There are a lot of members here they could give you good advice. |
I don't think it is a yorkie. I am thinking a Pomeranian as well. But I am not an expert either! Lol |
No resemblence of either breed to me. I would venture and guess more like a Pom/Chi mix but nonetheless a beautiful and sweet pup! |

No expert here either but she looks just like my sisters pom...adorable little thing none the less |
does like look like a yorkie at all, Im thinking some pomeranian |
Thank you for the feedback. I didn't see any yorkie in her either, but I am a yorkie newbie and wasn't sure. She is beautiful and my mom is considering her but she really wanted a yorkie. Since we were told AKC do you think I should ask for a copy or text picture of the paper work? Would I insult the breeder? |
He's a cutie pie for sure but if your breeder told you he's a mix and registered with AKC as in American Kennel Club, then you were scammed. AKC only registeres purebreds, not mixes. |
Looks like a pom mix to me. Do they have AKC papers to prove it? I don't think he has yorkie in him...I wouldn't suggest buying from this breeder again... |
A Yorkie and Silky mixed together, produce pups that look so much little either breed, DNA is needed...this pup is a mixture of several breeds..and if she is giving AKC papers, simply report her to AKC and they will require DNA...infact vets do not charge that much for a DNA...one member recently had it done for less then $100....her pup had no Yorkie whatsoever in it. |

She's not a yorkie, silky mix. Also, unless they've changed in the recent past, the AKC does not register mixed breed dogs. |
What a Cutie Pie!!!! But it does not look like a yorkie or silky. It looks like a Pomeranian, or perhaps a Shiba Inu mix.... ???? |
