two questions about my yorkie??
 
my dog loves staring at me and sometimes i notice she goes
too the couch while im at the table, on the laptop and i look up shes on the couch staring...is this a yorkie, thing or is it dogs in general? also shes
now one years old is she a baby still or adult?

She is still your baby. Hopefully she will always be your baby. My Sadie stares at me a lot to. I do not know if it is a Yorkie thing or not because I had a black lab for 12 years who also did this.

Don't look into the eyes. It's their way of exerting mind control over you. If you stare back, they will be able to control you. I mean who can resist those teddy bear eyes. My advice whatever you do....DON"T STARE BACK :D. Im speaking from experience

Brandi and my cat Zoey do the same thing and now I have stepford wives syndrome. I live only to serve them :p

LOL! :D

Armani usually only stares when he wants something- starting about an hour before dinner time each night I can usually find him staring at me from a distant corner- I have to be sure not to look at him or he will start barking like a crazy lunatic.

In the real dog world, the dog that diverts it stare saying.."you win, you are top dog"...that is why people are told to never stare at a stray who is acting aggressive....
BUT in the Yorkie world, my Kate stares at me for reassurance that all is well ..she is a very devoted Yorkie and my life is her life...sometimes I wish she would get a life..but it is what it is...

with me as well.. Paris only stares at me when she wants food, or I'm eating.. or she wants attention as well..

1 year old.. she is still a baby.. and for you she will always be...

Emma stares at me all the time...She would come up to me (pretty darn close) and just stare at me. She seems to only does this with me too! I think it's so cute and funny!! I didn't know it's a yorkie thing! lol

1 year old is an adult dog, but with yorkies....they require puppy love all the time!

Heidi stares at me all the time too. If she sees me look at her, then she'll raise her head up higher or perk her ears up sharper and its like you see a big question mark come on her face.

Each of our dogs take turns staring at me. Usually they just want me to say something or scratch an ear. Like "hey Mom I need a little attention!". The big dog just trys to herd me to the kitchen when he thinks it is time to eat.

I think Roxy stares at me in hopes that I can read her mind. She definitely stares at me when she wants something. Sometimes she stares off into space too ...like a lot, like the way people look when they are day dreaming. I always wonder what she's thinking about. Shes my little day dreamer.
