bad groomer Hi to all! Until now I was just hanging around and red what other writes about their dogs... But now I need to share some bad feelings I have since this afternoon. My puppy Jerry is nearly 4 months old and for the 2nd time we visited his "hairdresser". It was horrible! First of all...I asked her to leave Jerrys face long! Last week I bought a nice ribbon and I was happy I finally can use a hairclip and make him look sweet  This woman made Westie cut so fast I had no chance to stop her. Ok, this wouldnt be so big tragedy , the hair will grow (how long does it take?) But she was soooo bad to my dog! Jerry was crying like little baby and she screamed to him, pulling him on the table and calling him little idiot. She said little dog has little brain and soome other bla bla bla... I was really shocked! She wasnt so bad to him last time! Well, she wasnt really friendly but today it was really horror! Even my son (5) went out of the room saying its too much for him. How people can be so bad to such little puppy? When I said if she can be more nice to him, her answer was something like "if you are not bad to him, wait when he is adult, he will dance on your head..." I feel so bad from this all and never ever want to see this woman again! :sickie: Do someone of you has this bad experience too? |
I'm so sorry :( This woman sounds awful! I would NEVER take my baby back to her. If she is the only one close to you, learn to do it yourself. I wonder if you can report her somewhere? Ugh, what a horrible person! |
With an awful attitude like that, that groomer should not be grooming animals at all!! You have to have patience with them. You should report her to a better business type organization. Shame on her!! |
What a horrible woman!! OMG what would she have done to him if you hadn't been there!!! I would never take him back to her again. You have to be gentle and soft spoken with these little guys. Never screaming at them, bless his little heart, what a traumatic experience this must have been for you all. |
I would have wanted to choke her ...poor baby |
Sorry you had an awful experience, taking your dog to the groomer should be a fun experience for both you and your dog. You need to be satisfied because you are the one paying the money... at the end of the day I don't care if I walk in and tell her to color my dog's hair purple and spike it, if I'm paying she should do what I say (btw I would NEVER DO THAT), also if your dog doesn't have fun, he will hate going there and cause more training problems. I'd rather have a dog who "dances on my head" which harley does from time to time when in our bed :P than have a dog who bites me when I come near him with clippers or a hair dryer. I sure hope you can find someone who treats you and your dog the way my groomer does (wonderfully), if not there are some great resources on here and youtube so that you can learn how to do it yourself. |
Yikes! Levi and I would have been out of that door, even if his hair was only halfway cut, if a groomer was hateful to us! Luckily we've never had such a bad experience at all. Is there anyone (like a supervisor) you could report her to? Glad your baby is okay! Hope you can find a groomer you both love. |
I would have taken my dog away from her and given her a few choice words. I hope you never take your baby to that person again. If you want to leave you baby's hair long then bath him at home with a good puppy shampoo and conditioner and let his fur grow out. Find someone else to trim him up for you or try to learn how to do it yourself if you cannot find someone you trust. I guess you need to visit the groomer before you take your dog there and observe how the groomer is with other dogs. There are some strange people out there. |
Welcome! OMgosh, I'm in shock! I simply cannot believe this woman is in business!!! It scares me to death to think what dogs are subjected to without their owners around. This is horrible. I would never ever go back there for any reason and I would tell everyone I know about her horrible practice. First yank on my girl and I would have been out of there. Let's just say, she would never have spoken the words more than once....I would have been in her face. Probably calling DH to come an post bond. :D Seriously......she's is horrible and I'm so sorry your little guy had go through such an awful experience. Give him some extra lovings. |
I feel so bad for you and your Jerry. My heart goes out to you. I take Jazi to the groomer at my vets office until she feels comfy letting me do her. She's 5 months old today and is soo happy when she see's her 'hairdresser'. I would never take him back there if I were you. He'll learn to hate it. |
