Well I did it! I broke down and bought Rosie one of the bully sticks. I just wasn't going to after I found out what they were made of!:eek: However, I must say after much persuasion from my groomer I bought one. And............SHE LOVES IT!:eek::eek::eek::eek: Hee hee! So, I guess I just have to get over it. Because she is a happy camper. :D Can someone tell me that it IS safe for them to eat this stuff?! She is chewing it and getting tiny pieces off and swallowing them. Just want to know that it is ok for her to do that!!! :) Thanks! |
It's safe for her to eat. That's what they're made for. :) |
Bully sticks are high in protein and highly digestible. Yes, they are safe for her to eat. My two go bonkers for bully sticks. Unfortunately, they can eat a 6" bully stick in about an hour so there's no taking them away to save some for later. |

Oh my!!! Maybe I should have bought more than one! :) |
Oh yes they are 100% digestible! I couldn't live without bully sticks. Ha, they are a great "babysitter" when you can't dedicate all of your time to your pup, lol. I buy from bestbullysticks.com and have found they have the best deals. I buy them in bulk. I get the odor free 6" thick sticks. One lasts Jackson about 3-5 days depending. One is always down for him to chew as he pleases. |
That's so funny, I did the same thing today. She does seem to enjoy it. I bought a 7" one of 3 braided together. I thought maybe it would last longer that way. |
They are digestable |
I have to admit I was the same, no stinky bull weenies in my house, but he loves them |
LOL, I have always wondered, since we don't eat Bull Meat, where in heck do all these bull weenies come from?? I mean seriously you see them in bulk at all the pets stores, you can purchase them in BIG bulk on line, so where are all the weenie less bulls??? I mean I thought it was a joke at first when people told me it was bull weenie , because there so many bully sticks everywhere. Sooo anyone else wonder how??? Does it even seem possible that we kill that many bulls?:eek::eek: |

OH Goodness!! Sorry to tell you this, but if you eat beef, then you are eating "bull meat". My husband is in the cattle business, and both male and female are sold for the purpose of human consumption. Male "bulls" that are going to be used for food are usually castrated early in life. The castrated males are then called "steers". Also, I think several bullies can be made from one bull "weenie". But I agree, there does seem to be a lot of bully sticks out there.:) |

We have cows that we use for human consumption. Much better meat than what you get at walmart! And my husband said all that about the steers too. Gosh, now I will have to say he was right. He also said several was made from one. Hee hee. Hate it when he is right! :p |
