...and as long as the dogs aren't anywhere near the food preparation area I don't see any issue at all with it :) |

I don't allow my dog in my kitchen so it's a no for me. Its a courtesy and sanitary thing for me. If it's an outdoor cafe that allows pets to sit with you then I say go for it. |
Honestly, ever since Layla came into our lives she's been inside a carrier purse and with me where ever I go. This includes restaurants. As long as no one knows/notices, I don't see the harm. Its another story to have our babies on our laps while we're eating and or them barking inside the restaurant. But if she's just sleeping in a closed bag, I see no problem. |

Where I live you cannot take a dog inside a restaurant. We go to an outdoor cafe and even then she is on the opposite side of the wrought iron fence. I have her in a stroller when I plan to go out to eat. There are only a select number of stores in my area that will allow pets. I have taken Calleigh to TJ Maxx and Marshall's and no one seems to have a problem with it. I took her to Joann Fabrics once and was asked to leave. I couldn't believe it. I asked the manager why she couldn't stay and his answer was we have food....candy bars. Give me a break! |
I have taken her to outside reasturants. We go to the florida keys a lot and most places are pet friendly. When we are out at home I just leave her at home with her big brothers (Sammy and Bailey) I think she is happier. |
I am big on shopping local and thankfully live in a area wear almost anything i buy i can buy from local retailers. The places That i go Know and love Gatsby. I take him into restaurants and i hide him from other customers but i do not hide him from the owners/managers the general rule is "we don't care as long as no other customer complains about it" so i do sneak him in but with permission. as for non local chains i go in to occasionally family dollar, dollar tree,jo-ann fabrics, target and outside at panera bread |

Honestly, I wouldnt do it. I dont sneak Foxy anywhere she isnt supposed to be. Granted clothing stores and such dont seem like such a huge deal, but to me a resturant or other food establishment is a no-no..JMO..Granted there are nasty snot nosed kids that I wish could be banned as well...LOL.. |

I agree 100%. Is it just people who don't have kids that think this way? |

No I dont. There are people who have allergies to dogs and who am I to impose my dog on them. Restaurants dont allow smokers in them so they arent imposing their smoke on nonsmokers and I dont see any difference in that or allowing a dog in when someone may have allergies. The dog doesnt care about being in a restaurant in a bag either. Im sure they are happier at home |
Restaurants no, but we love going into Lowes:animal36 |

 Totally agree with this! Hadnt even thought about people with allergies to dogs. I know if I had to sit in a room with cigarette smoke I would be done for.. |
