How much do u feed ur cutie? Feeding canned food. And what brand, what line do you get? Thank you, |
Currently switching from SD to Wellness Super5Mix Just for Puppy and Minnie is fed the amount she is supposed to have. I free feed her the amount of food said daily which is 1 cup. She is 2.9lbs at almost 8 months old and she does not get any soft food. Just dry food with an occasional treat. |
mickey's 15 and he can no longer eat solid food anymore... he has only few good teeth left lol & with his super sensitive stomach we feed him hill's prescription D/D then now we switched to I/D because they dont carry D/D in korea. He's been on D/D for good part of 13.5 years and been on I/D for almost 1 yr. before that i think the breeder fed him iams or something. |

Edited to add: Just reread and see that the op is talking canned food. Maybe that's the difference. It makes sense with all the moisture added that you might feed more canned. Sorry, my input probably doesn't help since op is asking about canned. :) |
Marge has great will power and usually pushes herself away from the table! The dogs are a different story |

Jackson is 16lbs and eats 1/2 cup per day of Acana kibble mixed with a tablespoon of wet food. |
Alice seems to really like Evenger's canned. I mix about 1 tablespoon into 1/2 cup of her dry food twice a day. She's 4 lbs., six months old and skinny - need to put a bit of weight on her and she's still growing, so it does depend on the age, weight, and body condition of your dog. |
Bogie 8lbs gets 6 tablespoons daily (3 in the am and 3 in the pm) evening meals I add a few frozen green beans Jada 6.5lbs gets 4 Tablespoons daily (2 in the am and 2 in the pm) and also gets green beans on her evening meal. Snacks are green beans and sometimes carrotts and different fruits. I feed Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Venison and still have to keep a close watch on weight especially for Jada these portions keep them at a steady weight with no ups and downs. |
I free feed. my pup eats a few kibble about every two hours. Never sits and eats a meal at a time. I put a half cup of dry. I never feed wet. |

Lulu is the same way. I free feed her also, she is 2.5 pounds and is turning 7 months next week. We feed her Innova puppy dry food and i put 1/4 cup food every day in the morning and she eats whenever she wants. |
I use the Wellness Super5 Adult, Small Bites. My Male Sneakers has been on it for over two years, and My Female Becca (now 10 mo), was given Puppy, but she wouldn't eat it, and ate the Wellness Adult since she was 3 months old. lol  I tried everything at first, cheep to expensive, one, two and three times a day, NOTHING worked ! I finally just gave up, left the food out 24/7. Now they both eat together, twice a day, one takes a bite, backs up, lets the other in, politest two dogs I've ever seen, and are doing just fine on their own. Without me getting in their way. ;) They seem to enjoy eating when we do, and given that I'm retired, with them 24/7 (just about), I can see that both are eating (according to their size differences) just about what they're supposed to. |
I feed Welliness (wet) Split a can 4ways in the morning and at night. Free feed Innovia small bites. I am now having to put 2 on diets because of their weight gain. We also give them carrots, apples for snacks. Sometimes cheerios and maybe a dental bone. |
Bella is 6 mos old nearing 6 lbs and she eats 1/4 cup of dry food (Natural Balance LID small bites) mixed with Natural Balance wet (Duck and Potato) food twice a day. I divide the can wet food into 4 quarters. I also leave about a quarter cup of just dry food out in case she wants to nibble throughout the day. |
