I used the onesie like that when Kaji was neutered to keep him from getting at his stitches. I then repurposed those as jammies by cutting off the bottom snaps and hemming it like a long tee shirt. Tammyjo, since you have a little girl, that's all you have to do. For little boys, like mine, I altered the underside to have a U shape on the belly so he doesn't lee on it. Works really well. For my little guy, I prefer preemie sizes. I also tact the head opening on either side to prevent it from stretching out.

My babies have baby blankets and soft baby toys. The toys make awesome puppy toys.

I buy a lot of stuff from toys r us. I got the xpen there, same as the pet story but with pictures of kids and 1/3 less:eek:

Sammy's fav toy is giggle puppy which is a child's toy .

Of course baby blankets and pillows!!!

I have bought 2 gorgeous baby blankets from the baby dept. and today,bought fabric to make one for my yorkie and she is only 13 weeks old. When is enough, ENOUGH.... dahhhhh, NEVER!!!!

I have a bunch of baby blankets left from my son who's now 6. Alice has one in her crate to sleep on, each of the cats have one in their favorite spot in the house. They're the perfect size for little pets:D

I bought Rio's baby blanket from Target! I feel bad 'cause I never got one for Bullet. Instead he just tries to steal Rio's all the time!

Nope- your not the only one- some of my favorite blankets for the dogs are from the baby section.

What a great idea. Thank you for your post. I have purchased several baby blankies from the store for my new yorkie and still have the receiving blanket that my toy poodle came in from the breeder 14 years ago. I've got some shopping to do for some onsie's. :D

I buy baby blankets too. They both have them. I also have knitted and crocheted blankets, sweaters, etc. for them.

I love the onsies idea and the little preemie bootie idea too!!! Will definately have to try these both.:D

I bought a pac n play at Target,but the blankets are flannel hemmed by my daughter and a patch work quilt that my daughter and I did together. There are pics on the thread I started about Mina coming home.
I would think that the baby dept would be a great place to purchase things for a furbaby. I might have to go check that out as well.

My boyfriend thinks I am nuts that I shop in the baby section and I don't have a baby. I have blankets, onies, socks and toys from walmarts baby section. Heck, it is cheaper to get these items there then at the pet store. My favorite though is ebay, you can find endless amounts of blankets. Hey, I tell my family that Bella just wants to make sure her blanket fits her mood for that day. Ok, they don't see the humor but it is all fun for me.

I found some doggie blankets in the dollar bin at Target a while ago.
They are black fleece with white paw prints.
They also had blue with white paw prints and pink with white paw prints.
I have washed them and they didn't shrink or anything.
They are the BEST!!!!
Had I known that, I would have bought more.
