Yorkie drooling in his sleep My 1 year old male yorkie has just started droling excessively in his sleep, leaving a pool of wetness under him. I took him to the vet today and they administered a bloodtest to rule out any kidney failure from some sort of toxin. He also mentioned it could be something lodged in his mouth of throut...??? Chewie rawhide? I have read where it could be an extra tooth, which he has! and also reading about Hypoglycemia. He could be tired, but he doesn't seem lacking in nourishment...10.3 pounds. Cab anyone help????? |
Hi, welcome to Yorkie Talk:D Did the vet look in his mouth and throat? My first instinct here is bad teeth, did he look at the teeth closely? How old is your dog? |
first thing I'd check would definitely be the teeth. think about skin kids. when they are teething they are drool machines. same with the pups. could be he's still got a baby tooth or two and they're loose. could also be an adult tooth that's damaged, something stuck between the teeth, etc. |
